Ah the Miami Dolphins.

They do everything exceptional.

Draft exceptionally... sign free agents exceptionally... score exceptionally... win exceptionally, and have exceptional ideas to make Super Bowl weekend exceptional.

And now they are excelling at pulling off the ole "You Didn't Give Us Want We Want and Now the Team Might Have to Relocate" maneuver with a veiled threat about moving the historic football franchise all the way ten miles north into Palm Beach County.

HOW WILL WE EVER GO TO SEE OUR BELOVED DOLPHINS NOW??

Fresh off their rejection of trying to get public funding for their stadium renovations, the Miami Dolphins' head honchos are preparing to make a bid to host a Super Bowl by presenting a winning idea:

Having a football game played on a real-life Navy aircraft carrier!

*high five!*

According to the Palm Beach Post's Ben Volin, the Dolphins plan on holding most of their Super Bowl events at Bay Front in downtown Miami where they apparently would have an aircraft carrier dock so that they can play a game.

Miami Dolphins "Put the Cart Before the Horse," Says House Speaker Will Weatherford

Categories: Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins went on their WAHHH THE GOVERNMINTS WON'T GIVE OUR BILLIONAIRE OWNER ANY FREE MONEY 2013 Tour after they were denied public funds to renovate Sun Life Stadium by the House last week.

Part of that tour included publicly bashing Florida House speaker Will Weatherford, for supposed broken promises and for being a total douche for not giving them what they want.

(Ok, they didn't actually call him a total douche, but they were still not very nice and said rude things about him)

And now Weatherford IS FIGHTING BACK.

Heat, Dolphins Stars React Very Differently to Jason Collins Story

D-Wade 2223.jpg
With the news of Jason Collins' coming out, the backlash and commentary has been all over the map on both sides of the issue. And we knew some fellow pro athlete, somewhere, would say something dumb, while another praised Collins.

We just didn't know it would be from our very own pro sports teams.

And so, as it goes, Mike Wallace, star wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, said something tragically dumb regarding the Collins news, while Dwyane Wade, star guard for the World Champion Miami Heat, said something good.

And, as it goes, both took to Twitter to express themselves.

Miami Dolphins Draft Dion Jordan, And No One Knows If He's Going To Be Any Good

Categories: Miami Dolphins

dion jordan draft dolphins.jpg
The Dolphins supposedly really, really, ridiculously wanted Oregon defensive end Dion Jordan. So they traded down from the 12th spot to the 3rd spot, swapping picks with the Oakland Raiders, and also handing over their 42nd overall pick for the right to take Jordan.

And while nobody really knows if a player will be any good, because it's all subjective and guesswork and crossing-of-fingers, the consensus seems to be that Jordan is a boom or bust player.

Meaning, the Dolphins may have just drafted the next Jason Taylor, or the next Cedric Jones.

The Miami Dolphins officially unveiled their brand new uniforms and logo at a party in Sun Life Stadium on Thursday. At the event, which took place prior to the draft, classic and new uniforms clashed in an evolutionary showcase.

New Times was in attendance to find out what fans thought of the new uniforms and logo, but mainly to find out what the greatest Miami Dolphin thinks.

Dan Marino, aka The Right Arm of God, was on hand to help launch the new look. Does he think the uniform looks awesome? What about the new color scheme? Is it amazing, or what?

"I think it's fine," Dan Marino told New Times.

Well then. There you go.

The new Miami Dolphins logo is, well, this thing

Earlier in the day, we told you about how NFL.com might have accidentally leaked the new Miami Dolphins logo.

The website eventually removed the logo and replaced it with the old one.

But, then on Wednesday afternoon, a seemingly befuddled Dolphins CEO Mike Dee confirmed that, yes, the logo that appeared on NFL.com is indeed the new Miami Dolphins logo.

And, judging from fan reaction on Twitter, a few like it.

But most pretty much hate it.

Except Dan Marino. He approves.

Turns out the brand-spanking-new Miami Dolphins logo that was supposedly leaked back on March 18 -- this one -- isn't the actual brand-spanking-new Miami Dolphins logo.

However, another logo was leaked after that -- this one -- and now that one appears to be the actual logo thanks to NFL.com putting it on its site.

Or.

Did.

It???
