Davie Police Say Vehicle That Killed 86-Year-Old Rita Chiero May Have Been Identified

Cops may have found the car involved in this sad hit-and-run case.
On Monday, Rita Chiero was using a walker to get around her gated senior living community when a vehicle hit her from behind, killing the 86-year-old grandmother. The driver fled the scene.
But on Wednesday, Davie police say that a vehicle and driver of interest may have been identified.
The vehicle is reportedly at the Davie Police Department for processing, and cops say the driver is cooperating with investigators. The details on what led authorities to this specific car and driver have not been released.
