Turns out the woman caught shooting an angry bird at the Bulls' Joakim Noah as he walked to the locker room is a Palm Beach socialite named Filomena Tobias.

And she has quite the cray story.

Along with being a socialite, she's also the widow of hedge-funder Seth Tobias -- her fourth husband -- who was found dead in his own pool in 2007.

Filomena's internet psychic accuses her of being Tobias' murderer. Seth Tobias, meanwhile, allegedly had an affair with a male stripper named Tiger. Also, she is neighbors with Michael Jordan.

No mention of pit bull ban this time.
Months after stinging public rebuke and the condemnation of hundreds of dog owners, Broward County Commissioner Barbara Sharief has canceled requests for a pit bull ban and instead called for a "culture" that makes it mandatory to neuter and spay canines and more regulation on "backyard" dog breeding.

Following two separate community meetings with dog specialists and bite victims, Sharief and company also want more money in 2014 for additional animal control specialists and to train local cops on animal control.

All of the agenda items will go before the County Commission in May.

Florida Sues BP and Halliburton Over 2010 Oil Spill

BP Oil spill suit.jpg

Florida got the Earth Day festivities kicked off early with some good old-fashioned litigation.

The suit, filed by State Attorney General Pam Bondi in U.S. District Court in Panama City, gets after BP for not changing the batteries on the oil rig's blowout preventer and points the proverbial finger at Halliburton for installing faulty cement barriers.

Florida Medicaid Expansion Pretty Much Killed by Senate Panel

Categories: Florida!, GOPers!
medicaid logo.jpg

On Monday afternoon, a Senate select committee rejected moving forward with an expansion of the Medicaid program under the federal Affordable Care Act, even after Gov. Rick Scott expressed a desire to see it expanded and even though state hospitals and businesses wanted to see it expanded and even though the majority of Floridians want to see it expanded.

So it looks like the solution to get affordable health care for Florida's poor is for them not to ever get sick.
