A former Broward Sheriff's Office deputy took to YouTube to release a video accusing BSO Sheriff Scott Israel of turning his back on him and making allusions to his becoming "the next Christopher Dorner," the ex-LAPD officer who went on a revenge-motivated shooting rampage in Los Angeles back in February after he was fired from the force.

"I don't know how much more I can take," the former BSO deputy tells the camera in anguish. "I don't want to be the next Christopher Dorner. So I'm praying and asking someone to get involved. Please. God bless you."

Israel on the campaign trail.
When incoming Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel wanted to bring in his own people to help run the department, he didn't realize that removing some of former Sheriff Al Lamberti's top lieutenants would cost nearly $4.3 million, including a more than $340,000 payout to one colonel who had never called in sick during 36 years on the job.

Gay Cop Sues Former Sheriff Al Lamberti and the BSO

Back in June, BSO Deputy Anthony Vincent claimed he had been harassed by Broward Sheriff's cops because of his sexual orientation.

On February 15, Vincent, who was riding his motor scooter, was pulled over in Southwest Ranches.

In his claim, Vincent says that the deputies ticketed him for speeding, even though he wasn't. The cops also apparently captured the moment on tape, without his consent, which is illegal. The speeding ticket was eventually tossed in April.

In June, an internal investigation kicked off regarding the recording but, before the investigation concluded, Vincent released it to the media. That's when he was suspended with pay. Upon his return from work, he was then suspended five days without pay.

The suit names former Broward Sheriff Al Lamberti, BSO Commander Wallace Haywood, and Deputies Roberto Aspuru and Jose Saud as defendants.
