Federal agents from Homeland Security say that the girl's father discovered hundreds of messages between Chery and the girl and that the sessions had been going on for months.
Investigators say that Chery knew the girl was 15 and that she had reminded him of this multiple times.
If convicted, Chery is looking at ten years in prison.
Chery, who goes by the Skype name "Swag likeus Robinson," met the girl online in September, via an anonymous online chatting site called Omegle.
From there, the two struck up a cyber relationship that moved over to Skype, which is a free chatting and video messaging service used with a smartphone or a computer.
According to authorities, Chery had persuaded the victim to masturbate and show herself naked on Skype while he watched and pleased himself.
In November, the girl's father had become suspicious of her and checked her phone. There, he discovered 143 pages of cyber sex chats the girl had with Chery.
The girl's father handed the messages over to San Francisco Police, who then turned it over to Homeland Security Investigators in South Florida.
Investigators say the victim told them she had told Chery her age multiple times. He told her he was 21.
Authorities arrested Chery on April 20.
Chery appeared in federal court in Fort Lauderdale on Monday, where he pleaded not guilty to one charge of enticement of a minor.
Joshua Fisher, Chery's attorney, reached by the Sun Sentinel, said he wouldn't comment until he had a chance to review the evidence.
Chery is looking at ten years to life in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
