Well, that's apparently all she wrote for the "Hip Hop Conservative."

Rep. Trey Radel is expected to resign from congress, a spokesperson for the congressman says.

Radel, who reps the 19th Congressional District in the Fort Myers-Naples area, was arrested on October 29 for "unlawfully, knowingly and intentionally" possessing "a quantity of cocaine."

He pleaded guilty to cocaine possession in November and was sentenced to one-year probation. Radel also did some rehab during that time.

Radel, 37, had recently announced he was getting back to work with the start of the new session, and with his rehab stint coming to a close.

In November, federal agents were led to Radel after a dealer they had arrested told investigators that one of his clients was none other than the Hip Hop Conservative himself.

DEA officials set up a "buy and bust" operation that eventually nabbed them Radel.

A drug task force set up a buy with Radel, who bought the cocaine October 29.

FBI agents moved in and arrested him that night at his Washington apartment.

Documents also said Radel bought and used cocaine on "several occasions."

Radel says it was the "disease of alcoholism" that led him to the yeyo.

"Believe me, I am disappointed in myself," Radel said in a statement released shortly after his arrest. "I stand ready to face the consequences of my actions. However, this unfortunate event does have a positive side. It offers me an opportunity to seek treatment and counseling. I know I have a problem and will do whatever is necessary to overcome it, hopefully setting an example for others struggling with this disease."

In between being elected in 2012 and apparently doing blow, Radel has spent the majority of his time wanting to possibly impeach Obama over gun-control laws and cosponsoring a bill with Marco Rubio that would keep people from getting punished by the government until the Obamacare website is fixed. He also voted against the deal that eventually ended the government shutdown last year.

....................actually CONGRESS was the best place for this guy - where we could keep an eye on him publicly - now he will have to scam the public privately which is dangerous to all in the SW FLA area

Come on teabaggrz.  Come on out of the woodwork to support another of your fellow HYP-O-CRITES. You know, the one all in favor of drug testing welfare recipients while he sits back in Tallahassee lighting up his crack pipe.

I don't care about his trysts with cocaine or other illegal drugs. But the fact that Rep. Radel is a hypocrite legislator really pisses me off. Does he believe that his drug use disqualifies him from unemployment benefits now that he is no longer a D.C. corporate shill?

Must be nice to have a squeeky clean life and live in judgement of others.  I'm starting a drink game on you.  Everytime you use "teabaggers" I'll drink.  Probably be drunk by noon.
