Bill Lazor Is the New Miami Dolphins Offensive Coordinator
Lazor, 41, has received a lot of credit for the development of Eagles QB Nick Foles this season and was part of a high-powered attacking offense led by head coach Chip Kelly.
The hope, as ever, is that Lazor brings some of that over to Miami.
Lazor's only previous stint as an OC was with the University of Virginia in 2010, before joining the Eagles as their QB coach in 2013.
Before that, he served as offensive quality control coach for the Atlanta Falcons, offensive assistant for the Washington Redskins, and QB coach for the Seattle Seahawks.
In all, Lazor has worked under coaches like Joe Gibbs, Mike Holmgren, and Kelly.
The Dolphins will be Lazor's first go-round as OC in the professional ranks, as he takes over the recently fired Mike Sherman.
Earlier this week, there were reports that Lazor was set to take the same job with the Detroit Lions.
Working with Lazor, the Eagles' Foles had a Pro Bowl season rivaled only by Peyton Manning. Foles finished the season with 27 touchdowns and just two interceptions.
The hope is that Lazor might work some of that magic with Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill.
