Jeb Bush Endorses Rick Scott for Reelection

In a statement released on Tuesday afternoon, former Republican Gov. Jeb Bush has officially taken a side in the upcoming gubernatorial race and endorsed Rick Scott.

It's the least shocking news you'll read today, as Bush is, number one, a Republican and, number two, not a big fan of Charlie Crist.

You might remember that Jeb! endorsed Marco Rubio over Crist when the two went at it for the U.S. Senate. Rubio went on to win, which has been a delight ever since.

In his statement, Jeb! says one main reason for his endorsement is that, thanks to Scott, "taxes have been cut for families and businesses," which is 100 percent true if you remove the words families and from that sentence.

"He campaigned on a platform of getting Florida's economy back on track," Jeb!'s statement also says. "And has delivered on that promise. Governor Scott pledged to reinstate a business-friendly climate that fosters growth and job creation."

Never the mind that Florida Legislature chief economist Amy Baker found that Florida's unemployment rate fell because of the lack of jobs and not so much because Rick Scott made jobs magically appear when he cut taxes for big corporations.

And never the mind that Florida ranks dead last in the country in long-term unemployment, and job creation is as common as the Miami Dolphins winning a football game.

Jeb! wraps it up by saying that Scott has "demonstrated leadership when Florida needed it most, and he is the best candidate to lead our state for four more years."

Like he has for education!

And he showed bravery when confronted by Stand Your Ground protesters by coming up with the leadery solution to pray the badness away.

And let us not forget his courageous campaign to screw minorities from being able to vote.

You know, leadership!

Jeb!'s entire statement:

"I'm pleased to endorse Governor Scott for re-election and look forward to supporting his campaign during the coming year.

"It's simple why I'm supporting Rick Scott. He campaigned on a platform of getting Florida's economy back on track, and has delivered on that promise.

"Governor Scott pledged to reinstate a business-friendly climate that fosters growth and job creation. Since taking office, Florida's unemployment rate has fallen 4.1 percent, more than 365,000 jobs have been created and taxes have been cut for families and businesses.

"While President Obama and Democrats in Congress are fixated on penalizing success, Governor Scott is pursuing policies to restore prosperity for more Floridians while prioritizing core state responsibilities, including increasing the state's investment in education.

"Rick Scott demonstrated leadership when Florida needed it most, and he is the best candidate to lead our state for four more years."

One more reason to never listen to a Bush again.  Its time for Governor Voldamort to go on unemployment.  Of course he will end up bilking Medicare out of millions again anyway.

Yes lets repeat this mantra Scott = Bush, Bush = Scott.

I'm sure the worst name in American political history should garner lots of votes...
