The Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 that collapsed upon landing at LaGuardia Airport on Monday night is having a ripple effect on flights across the country, namely in our own backyard, at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

The airport is so far reporting 15 arrival delays on Tuesday morning as well as 16 delayed departures. The wait time could be up to three hours.

For now, there are no flight cancellations.

The delays could go well into Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, at least ten people were injured Monday night after the Southwest plane's nose slammed into the tarmac before skidding to a stop upon landing at LaGuardia. The flight was coming in from Nashville.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash, which was caused when the plane's landing gear apparently failed.

Airport officials immediately shut down the runway as emergency personnel rushed to the scene.

Of the 150 people onboard, there were a reported ten who suffered minor injuries, including three crew members, according to Southwest Airlines.

The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration were investigating the incident.

You can track flight statuses here.

But your best bet is to call your airline directly for info on delays.
