Taylor Chapman, Most Hated Person On The Internet, Gets Fired

Ending a wild week of vitriol, in which Taylor Chapman became the most hated person on the Internet, she has been fired from her marketing position, according to a statement released by her former company at 1:30 a.m. this morning.

PowerSales Team, which is based in Fort Lauderdale and has directed Chapman to represent several local businesses in hilariously boring videos, uploaded to its website one more starring Chapman late last night.

But this video -- if it's authentic -- is the strangest one yet.

First, the company posted this rather benign, but direct message declaring Chapman's termination:

We have previously employed Taylor Chapman as a Video spokesperson in the past. But due to her racist viral video rant on two Dunkin' Donuts employees and the large amount of complaint calls and public outcry to our website. We have made an official statement regarding the status of Taylor Chapman with our organization.

We will no longer employ her for any future video spokesperson positions. Her behavior was disgusting and foul to say the least, and we do not work with anyone who displays such toxic rhetoric as we have seen Ms. Chapman do on her video.

But then, an additional video was uploaded, which is chilling, vile, and goes further to publicly demonize Taylor Chapman than what would be normal American business etiquette at the time of someone's termination:

When New Times called PowerSales for comment, the call was forwarded to this automated message: "Thank you for calling our corporate website. We have terminated our relationship with video spokesperson Taylor Chapman. If you need any more information you can go to our website."

THIS is the official response by her employer? I'm beside myself. Did no one think to vet this through legal counsel? People, stay away from this business. I've never seen a lack of professionalism anything like this. The owner sounds like he's 22 years old and a pothead. Who in the world would risk their business posting something as vile and stupid as the person they were firing?

I'll bet MSNBC would hire her on the spot. She's exactly their kind of "people".

Power Sales Team website is unbelievable. It's now one of my favorites. There are too many good things on that site to describe here. This is just a small sample...although it's just a punctuation issue, I love that they have the meaning of the colon and the semi-colon reversed:

"TV Appearances include; New TV Sitcom to start airing in Europe first: The President Child-where he plays the President of the USA, also has appeared on popular shows as; Burn Notice, CSI, Mas Sabe El Diablo, Acorralada, NBC Live, & Car Shop America on CW and is actively a correspondent for Designing Spaces on National TV."

She deserved whatever she got. I'm still employed today.

Do you want to know why this video is so classless? Just as classless as Taylor's video? It's because "O Williams" of Power Sales Team is the guy who does all of the prank calls on YouTube. It's called ownagepranks. Listen to his voice at the end of this video. A definite match.

Such a classless story all around.

First, lets talk about how that company ever made enough money to employ her in the first place. Have you seen their website? They're selling SEO services yet have an Alexa rank of 3,407,076, which was probably helped by this controversy. There are three and a half million more popular websites out there and they are going to help me dominate search engines when they cannot even dominate them for their own company? I was building better websites than that in FrontPage in 1996. Based on some of the "commercials" they've put together, it appears as though they are good at separating the gullible from their cash.

This company reminds me of one of those companies that constantly emails me to tell me they can help improve my SEO. Firstly, my rankings are always way better than theirs, they never rank for their own keywords and they found me via search engine in the first place, which indicates I must be doing a pretty damn good job.

I *think* the video was created to demonstrate how the people demanding her firing were just as vile as she was.  They could have called up and expressed their dismay at her behavior but they all cursed, called names and attacked the company, hmm, much like she did to the innocent DD employee...

I think the point of this companies video is to prove the comments people made were just as vial as she was. They were showing the irony.

That was almost as classless as Taylor's video. They seemed like a perfect fit.
