Jeb Bush Says "Immigrants are more fertile" During Speech

Jeb Bush, speaking at the Faith and Freedom Coalition in Washington on Friday, brought up his support for the passage of an immigration bill by arguing that it would be good for the U.S. economy because immigrants are more "fertile."

"Immigrants create far more businesses than native-born Americans," Bush said in his comments. "Immigrants are more fertile, and they love families, and they have more intact families and they bring a younger population. Immigrants create an engine of economic prosperity."

It was an unfortunate way to phrase that immigrants have a lot of kids, and that these kids will become part of America.

That didn't stop people from losing their shit on Twitter and poking fun at the former Florida governor.

CNN contributor Maria Cardona tweeted out:

Meanwhile, Miami Herald political writer Marc Caputo gave us this:

Hey-OHHHHHH.

Jeb's real flub, of course, was that he pulled a Dubya and screwed up the phrasing of what he was trying to say. And that, in turn, drowned out the rest of his speech, which was pragmatic and smart.

The main draw from Jeb's speech was that it wasn't the usual red-meat-craving GOPers who like to meet and crap all over Obama because of GOPer reasons.

"We are looking at the legalization of over 30 million illegal aliens," Rep. Michele Bachmann said in her speech. "This is not an anti-immigrant speech. Do not walk away with that thought at all."

In contrast, Bush called immigration a "conservative idea," and said "We're going to have fewer workers taking care of a larger share of people that the country has a social contract with."

Jeb is rumored to run for President in 2016. And it seems that every time he gets a microphone in his face, he tries to bring balance and intelligence to his own party, while nutters like Bachmann make angry tea baggy noises about Obama.

When Bush called immigration a conservative idea, a GOPer in the audience called out, "No."

Jeb's got his work cut out for him. Because of all the stupid.

And with this idiocy, we shall be free of the Bush family for another decade.  Seriously, whats with this family?  Were they served lead paint while they were growing up?

The only reason he is saying this is because he is married to a Mexican. Plan and simple.
