Three Charged With Murder of Boca Bartender
Police say they have three suspects in custody connected to the shooting murder of a Josephine's Italian Restaurant bartender.
The three suspects were arrested and charged by Boca Raton police for a separate crime, but authorities connected the men to the January 4 murder of bartender Rafael Rodriguez through a stolen watch that belonged to the restaurant owner's girlfriend.
Rodriguez, 46, was shot and killed at Josephine's Restaurant located in the 5700 block of U.S. 1. He later died at Delray Medical Center.
Adalberto Junior Montalvo, 29, of Pompano Beach, Samuel Magic Walker, 28, of Lauderdale Lakes, and Quinton Redell Sylvestre, 26, of Fort Lauderdale are now facing robbery and first-degree murder charges.
On January 25, the three were booked for breaking into and robbing a home located in the 2200 block of NW 35th Street in Boca Raton.
Police sifted through the stolen items allegedly taken by the suspects, among them phones, wallets, cash, and jewelry.
They also found a Chopard watch among the stolen items.

Cops sent out information to various law enforcement about the Chopard, helping them track down where it was sold and who bought the hot item.
Police were able to track down the person who purchased the watch and recovered it from them.
Video surveillance from the place the person purchased the watch showed men who matched the suspects' descriptions wanted for Rodriguez's slaying.
Phone records showed that two of the men, Montalvo and Sylvestre, had called each other on the night of the homicide with Walker's phone.
"They're already in custody," said Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office spokesman Mike Edmonson. "They were in custory for other offences and they've now been charged with murder in connection with the Jospehine's Restaurant homicide."
On the night of Rodriguez's murder, he and a few other employees exited through the restaurant's back door at closing time. That's he and a waiter were knocked to the ground by the suspects. The waiter was pistol-whipped, and Rodriguez shot once.
