In what is the most real-life metaphor in the history of humankind, Marlins star slugger Giancarlo Stanton got hit in the head by a fastball pitch... from his own Marlins teammate.
The pitch came from Jose Fernandez during a simulated game on Wednesday afternoon.
Stanton is reportedly just fine.
So now the circle is complete. First you piss him off by trading away his best teammates, and now you try to kill him.
