It didn't take long for rapper Rick Ross to come out and comment about almost being shot earlier this week.

Although his comments came via a rap verse (listen to the rhyme after the jump).

Meanwhile, police recovered 18 bullet casings at the Las Olas Boulevard site where Ross and his Royce were shot at as he and his lady drove away from a restaurant.

Ross apparently dodged the bullets by smashing his car into an apartment complex behind the restaurant. Police aren't saying if he returned fire.

As for Ross and his companion, neither was hurt. And while 50 Cent suggested on Twitter that the incident was staged, Ross has remained silent (18 bullets missing its target does seem fishy, but then again, this is real life, and we watch too many Die Hard movies).

Ross took to rapping about the incident in a recording by fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar that's making the rounds on the interwebs.

The title of the track: "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe."

Because, of course it's called that.

"I can't believe I'm alive," he says in the recording.

The verse was spread through social media by his record label and has quickly gone viral.

For their part, police are not releasing any info or surveillance video as this is an ongoing investigation.

the funny part was to see the newspaper picture of the "patron" under the window with the bullet hole with a menu "welcome to the FLO"

the patron is an employee and the pitcure is posed

18 casings and all misses. Seems more like a publicity building stunt than a crime. BTW Rick, shirt it.
