Wayne Clark (Volusia County Jail)

Wayne Clark was arrested after cops say he threatened a couple of Walmart employees with a "blood bath" over a bag of cat food and a case of soda.

Clark, who is reportedly a transient, tried to scam the store into giving him a cash refund by going to the customer service line and trying to return a $7.78 bag of cat food and $4.98 case of soda he had literally just picked up from the store shelves moments earlier.

When it appeared that the jig was indeed up, Clark went into Plan B, which was to pretty much pull out a 10-inch blade and threaten the loss prevention officer and a customer while yelling out profanities.

The incident happened at the Walmart at 2400 Veterans Memorial Parkway at 3:50 p.m. last Thursday.

According to police, Clark grabbed the cat food and soda and then stood in line at a register for a few minutes before walking over to the service counter to try and get his fake refund.

The loss prevention officer stepped in and tried to stop Clark from going through his fraudulent transaction. A customer also reportedly got involved. But when Clark was confronted, he whipped out his knife and allegedly yelled out, "Don't turn this into a blood bath," according to the police report.

Even as cops were called in and hauled him away, a defiant Clark swore that he would return to the Walmart to exact vengeance by making the loss prevention officer and the customer "feel how cold steel fells like in the neck."

Clark was arrested and taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail. He was charged with petty theft, resisting a transit agent while committing a theft and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bail was set at $4,000 bail.

The entire incident was captured by the store's surveillance cameras. The total amount Clark tried to scam from the Walmart was $13.59.
