LeBron James Eviscerated Reggie Evans During and After Their Game Last Night
Remember when Brooklyn Nets forward Reggie Evans did that thing where he trash-talked LeBron James and the Heat before their game yesterday?
Evans basically said that the Heat's title is tainted and that LeBron James is no different from Joe Johnson and Andray Blatche.
Well, as pretty much everyone on the planet predicted, talking crap about the world champs and, more indubitably, talking crap about the best player in the universe, was not a wise choice.
LeBron dropped 24 points on Evans and the Nets, going 10-for-18 while grabbing 9 rebounds and dishing out 7 assists.
The Nets played a feisty second quarter, managing to tie the game at the half.
But in the third quarter, LeBron remembered all that shit Evans talked and decided to Cobradick the entire borough of Brooklyn into a fine powder.
He smashed through the Nets' defense, hit three-pointers, and basically brought the devastation enroute to a 105-85 rout -- the third-straight blowout over the Nets by Miami.
But it was after the game that LeBron James decided to keep Reggie Evans relevant by obliterating him with some dick-punching postgame comments about the man.
"You can't just come out and say something like that versus a champion," LeBron said. "No one knows what it takes unless you've done it. You can't sit here and judge and talk about a team winning a championship unless you've done it. He hasn't done it."
LeBron went on:
"Let me look at his numbers real quick," he said, looking at the game's stat sheet. "He had no offensive rebounds, so we did our number on him."
But wait. There's more.
Asked if he had anything to say to Evans during the game, LeBron responded:
"For what? I let my game do the talking."
(The more likely explanation is that LeBron doesn't actually know what Reggie Evans looks like.)
"I'm not going to sit here and give Reggie Evans a lot of press," he said. "Because that is what is going to happen for the next couple of days."
Evans declined to talk to reporters after game. Probably because it's really hard to talk when your ass hurts.
