Broward Sheriff's Employee Suspended With Pay After Allegedly Pulling Gun on Son

Eva Leslie Weinberg, 52, was arrested Thursday by a Broward Sheriff's deputy and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after she allegedly got into a domestic dispute with her son and then pointed a gun at him.

Weinberg, it turns out, has been employed with the Broward Sheriff's Office for the past five years.

The BSO has was suspended her with pay following the incident.

According to an arrest report, Weinberg's 25-year-old son, Kevin, told deputies that he got into an altercation with his mother when she then pointed a gun at him and told him to get out of the house.

Kevin told deputies that he wasn't sure if the weapon was loaded or not.

Weinberg's bond was set at $2,500. She was also ordered not possess to firearms and to have no contact with her son by Broward Judge Terri-Ann Miller.
