Melissa Miller of Port St. Lucie was speeding down U.S. 1 in Fort Pierce at 1 a.m. Tuesday. As she clocked in at 100 mph in a 30-mph zone, she began to blast her car horn.

But it's totally cool that she did all that because, according to the cops who eventually pulled her over, Miller said that God had told her to do these things.

That God. Always the instigator!

According to police, Miller's silver Toyota was spotted flying southbound by an officer at the 600 block of U.S. 1. The Toyota's horn was blaring as Miller stuck her arm out the driver's-side window.

The officer gave chase, and when Miller was ordered to pull over the vehicle, she instead picked up speed, swerved across two lanes, and almost hit the curb and two oncoming vehicles.

Miller then turned west onto Virginia Avenue and eventually stopped.

According to the report, Miller was asked why she was speeding. She answered, "Because I was letting the Lord's spirit guide me."

She also said the Lord told her to blow her car horn as she drove 100 miles an hour down U.S. 1.

Miller was reportedly sorry for her actions and knew exactly how fast she was going.

Auto Rescue towed her car away.

Miller, 41, was taken to the Port St. Lucie County Jail and charged with reckless driving and violation of her probation for leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and placed under a $375 bail.

No word on whether God is able to come up with that kind of cash to spring her from the joint.

As an atheist, I was not aware of this God.  The God of the Need for Speed.  Now this is a God worth listening to...

I was thinking this broad was more of the Z28 driving tribe...
