Polls are tight in Florida as the presidential election mercifully grinds down to its final days, and anything can and will happen in the Sunshine State, because that's just how we roll.

A Quinnipiac University/New York Times/CBS News Poll have Barack Obama and Mitt Romney in a virtual tie in Florida. RealClearPolitics also has a tight race with 49 percent for Romney and 48 percent for Obama. CNN has Romney leading 50 percent to 49 percent.

Women across the state are favoring Obama 53 percent to 43 percent, while dudes are favoring Romney 52 percent to 43 percent.

Whites favor Romney 59 percent to 37 percent; blacks favor Obama, 96 percent to 2 percent (HA. HA. 2 percent); and Hispanic voters favor Obama 57 percent to 39 percent.

So what does all this mean? It means its time to hit up Florida in the waning days!

On Wednesday, Romney was all over the place, throwing rallies at the University of Miami as well as in Tampa.

Obama, busy with apologizing to our hurricanes, was touring the areas devastated by Hurricane Sandy. But the president plans to come down this way on Sunday for a campaign rally in Broward (details not yet released).

Meanwhile, Mrs. Obama is in Florida today, speaking at rallies in Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, and Miami.

So far, early voting is helping Obama, with one in four voters having already cast ballots by Election Day, with a majority of those ballots cast by Democrats.

Either way, it's going to be a squeaker. And with margins of error in polls, the ground game is important. At least for those people who, with less than a week left, still haven't made up their minds about who to vote for.
