Paul Ryan Introduces Himself to America With Lies

After coming to Florida to introduce himself and his rambunctious mom to old people a few weeks ago, Paul Ryan came back last night.

This time, he got onstage sans Mom and introduced himself to all of America, formally accepting the Republican Party's vice presidential nomination.

And, according to pundits and party leaders and his own state's delegates, Ry knocked it out of the park.

"Hey girl, you should see how I give speeches... in the bedroom."

But as we've seen with GOP vice-presidential nominees of yesterdays past, these speeches are more about being charismatic and engaging and, well, untrue.

But who cares about all the excrement being piled up onstage, as long as it's done all sexy!

Just like last time's GOP VP nominee -- the one everyone fawned over and the same one who is now pretty much banned from the RNC -- Ryan came out with P90X guns blazing.

He told his story.

He threw down Led Zeppelin references (wait'll the kids get a load of this!)

And he threw down a truckload of laundry bags filled with horseshit.

Ryan wanted to make a splash and show America that he's the true financial wonk everyone likes to pretend he is. Except that he hasn't even run the numbers on his and Romney's budget plan.

But, hey, Ayn Rand! Amerite, you guys??

As we'll continue to see all the way through November, Ryan scooped up some powdered Obama Haterade and threw it down everyone's gullet without water.

He claimed that Obama broke his promise to keep a Wisconsin GM plant from closing. HORSESHIT.

Ryan failed to tell America that he voted for an auto bailout under President Bush for similar reasons, but then was all OUTRAGED when Obama called for the same thing in a move that ultimately helped the auto industry get cranking again.

He said Obama "created a bipartisan debt commission. They came back with an urgent report. He thanked them, sent them on their way, and then did exactly nothing." HORSESHIT.

Ryan failed to disclose in his speech that he was on that commission, and he voted against this URGENT report.

He said Obama plans to "raid Medicare!!"

Again, P90Ry failed to mention his own plans of raiding Medicare, according to his proposal.

There are so many more lies and untruths from the speech, it would make Ayn Rand believe in a deity.

But you get the point.

Paul Ryan showed up looking his Alex P. Keaton best and spoon-fed America a Costco-sized bucket of horseshit.

Ryan also dropped this doozy, talking about his iPod playlist: "He actually urged me to play some of these songs at campaign rallies. I said, 'look, I hope it is not a deal breaker Mitt, but my playlist starts with AC/DC and it ends with Zeppelin."

Okay, that one probably isn't a lie, but it should be pointed out that Led Zeppelin would fall under L not Z. And even if it does somehow fall under Z on Ryan's playlist, anyone who refers to Led Zeppelin as 'Zeppelin,' is a monumental douche, anyway.

Oh, and one last thing. In an interview he gave last week, Ryan said that rape was a "method of conception."

Rape.

A form of conception.

Sorry, ladies. He's taken.

Just can't understand how a MAN who professes to be such a devout catholic can LIE with such ease. His mother should be ashamed. The stench of his lies will stick to him like a fly on s--t.

Ryan said Obama ignored the deficit commission report, you say he lied and  . . . link to a copy of the report?  I guess since the White House posted the report on its website (then ignored it), that's supposed to mean Ryan is a LIAR.  Ok then.

Ryan voted against the report and then proposed his own detailed plan that incorporated many of the report's recommendations.

Also nice to see that you apparently agree with Rep. Akin that rape doesn't lead to conception!  Who would have thought?

Watching you lefties wet your pants over this is tremendous.

Love you Chris, you're smart, educated and intelligent.  But the Romney/Ryan ticket is our best chance true Hope and Change.  Obama's stuck and can't get out, and his administration is awful.  He's like the national Runcie calling sabotage everything his crap doesn't work.  And he has us under the bus.

Moronic liberal crap. You have your head so far up your asses that you can't see the truth if it hit you between your tattoos.  Please can anyone tell me what has been so wonderful about the last 4 years?  I guess it was great if you're gay or an illegal but if you work for a living, pay taxes, drive a car then WTF are you nuts to want to re-elect this moron,  has NEVER created one job!  And please don't start with the auto-bailout which is a disaster.  The U.S. Treasury Department has said the auto industry bailout will cost taxpayers $3.4 billion more than previously thought.

Treasury now estimates the 2009 bailout will eventually cost the government $25.1 billion, according to a report sent to Congress on Friday. That is up from the last quarterly estimate of $21.7 billion.  This is from Reuters, a liberal newservice Aug 12th.  The most optimistic democratic accountant agrees at best only half will ever be paid back.  Additionally GM is now again losing market share to its competitors.  And i guess the thousands of employees who were canned when their dealerships were closed, those jobs don't count as lost jobs, only companies that Bain was trying to rescue and ultimately failed, their jobs count.

the comments here are just like the article, ignorant people commenting on what an ignorant person writes, do you think swearing and name calling will help get your point across.  Where is the inclusion of the democratic party here?, where is the tolerance for another persons opinion?

I am amazed at how consistently Google News reports this kind of tripe.  It wouldn't be so bad of these "commentators" would actually listen to the words being spoken during the speech.  The problem is the slant and just plan misrepresentations being made by the folks with the liberal agenda.  For a supposedly educated group, they might either get hearing aids or perhaps go back to Sylvan for a good reading course.

You liberals are such a joke. There were no lies just stupid brainwashed liberals complaining.  I can't believe how dumb and delusional some people really are.  Obama has been sooooo awesome for this country.

Ryan confirmed by several fact check groups not only introduces himself as a lier but Romney's camp stands beside Ryan.  Both "claim" to be Christians but stand by outright lies.  It's a repeat of GWBush and lies.

According to Ryan logic then...

All those Catholic priests who were sodomizing young boys were in actuality... just trying to conceive a child?  With a child that is..

I love god.  He's so fucking grand.

Every news outlet that carried this should have to run retractions on the lies he made.   Canada has laws that won't allow Fox News to be broadcast because of all their lies.

Vote Obama or continue to be lied to and stolen from.

Its not just Ryan that is spewing weapons grade BS in Tampa.  Most of em are treating the truth like they would treat a rape victim.

@Native Oh you GOPers and your complete and total misunderstanding of CONTEXT.

The context of the "rape is conception" thing is about Ryan and his ilk making it abundantly clear that, even if a woman becomes pregnant as a result of rape, they're fucked.... because it's conception. And conception -- no matter what form -- is HOLY GROUND.

As for the Bowles-Simpson report: The point there is Ryan mislead people in his speech, essentially making it sound as if Obama DID NOTHING ABOUT THIS URGENT REPORT when Ryan played a HUGE part it making the report a non factor. Classic obstructionism. Classic omission. Classic HORSESHITTERY.

But, yea, Ryan didn't lie at all. He just told "freedom truths!!"

P.S. I asure you no one is wetting their pants over this guy.

@bcconfidential So maybe you have some inside info, the rest of us don't? Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic is not a solution. What is the secret Romney/Ryan plan to drag the economy out of this worldwide depression? A second term Obama can tell this obstructionist Congress and Senate to fuck off and drag them kicking and screaming out of the depression. Romney and Ryan offer nothing but bullshit and lies.

smdrpepper
smdrpepper topcommenter

@bcconfidential Problem with that is President Obama has managed to turn the country out of the tailspin it was in.  Now imagine how much better things would be if those republicans would stop obstructing?  Caving in and letting them run things is like handing everything you own to someone who keeps mugging you.

KennyPowersII

@oceanluvr30 This is not your household budget so why are you using that logic to explain why the U S economy is Obama's fault? The bail outs, which were paid back, except for a few robber banks, saved jobs by the millions and stopped a monumental currency/liquidity crash. It is not so much how much better it should be, than how much worse it would have been. You have to stop the drowning first. BTW, what does "liberal" label have to do with your argument.

@oceanluvr30 Right, and whose job is it to create jobs in the government? I'll give you a hint, it starts with a C. Yup, the same guys who promised to tank the economy in order to make Obama a one term president.

I think the fact checkers turned out to be wrong about the GM plant closing.  Only one line of vehicles ended production under Bush, but the plant remained open.  The factory closed in 2009 under Obama.  Ryan was right on that one, the fact checkers were wrong.

Why are you saying that?  No one wants that kind of hate mongering comment.  It just shows how ignorant you are.   I'm certain you're (thank God) not in a position of any kind of power.  Offer something intelligent, please, we're trying to move forward in this country.

The  truth is that Obummer was in congress and voted for the tailspin that he took over.  Now in 3.5 years he couldn't  fix any of it but blame it on Bush and every thing else that he can think of.  We need a BIG change and Mitt and Paul ARE the answer         @smdrpepper  @bcconfidential

@screw231 the article is simply character assassination laced with profanity, partisan opinions and nit-picking about his play list?  I am sure that the DNC will play it perfectly straight and there will not be one mis-representation of facts or figures. After all they have not tried to tear down the Romney/Ryan team at all in their ads.

@screw231 Everybody knows Fox is a Conservative mouthpiece.  The problem is that Google is supposed to be an unbiased news outlet--instead, it pulls these extreme liberal articles out of some of the most obscure places.  It's almost like they can't find anything in the mainstream media that fits into this extreme mindset.  I may have to give up Chrome and I probably won't be the only one.

@bcconfidential  @jnkhanrahan Obama made overtones to the folks working at the plant during his campaign. And, like everything else he promised--he didn't deliver.  No transparency, no "across the aisle" participate, no 5 days to review suggested legislation. The deficit isn't cut in half, it's been increased by 5 Trillion Dollars.  We still have Gitmo.  We still have 8.3-4 unemployment.  But, we did have a trainload of stimulus money going to Banks and alternative energy companies--most of whom went into bankruptcy--leaving the taxpayer to pay for not only the fiasco--but the endless interest on the bonds sold to China.  It's been a completely dismal 3.8 years--one disappointment after another.  Sorry, but no more Obama for me.  He's all talk and no GO.  Enough empty promises, we've already been there and done that!

@screw231 I think the point was to start thinking for yourself and stop believing all of these links or crap blogs (even the links I sent).  Nothing he said last night was off the reservation if you actually watched it.  There is no credibility in the party representing someone that died from not being insured 5+ years after you got dropped from a company and your spouse had insurance too.  Saying the credit rating was dropped from wild spending is much more accurate.
