Boynton Beach Police are investigating the origins of a giant brick of marijuana that was fished out of the Atlantic earlier this week and is large enough to keep Frito-Lay in business for the next decade.
Covered in barnacles and weighing in at around 40 pounds, the bale of ganja looks slightly less delicious than one might think but is definitely still large enough to keep your average high school football team busy for at least three days.
"It was obvious that it had been in the water for a while, but as far as where it came from, that's still under investigation," said Boynton Beach Police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater. "If nothing can be determined, then like what happens with all our other [drug] evidence, it will be destroyed... The short version of what happens is it's taken to a specific location and it's placed in an incinerator."
