Here Are Stephen Colbert's Super PAC Campaign Finance Documents

Though the forms cover July through December 2011 only, the cover sheet to Colbert's forms says the PAC has raised just over a million dollars as of yesterday, an unnecessary disclosure that seems to indicate that they knew lots of folks would be looking at the packet.

Well, that and a statement attached to the forms from Colbert that says, "Yeah! How you

 like me now, F.E.C? I'm rolling seven digits deep! I got 99 problems but a non-connected independent-expenditure only committee ain't one!'' His treasurer, who is an actual, real-life lawyer, followed that up with, "I would like it noted for the record that I advised Mr. Colbert against including that quote."

The organization is required to disclose donations of $200 or more, of which Florida had six between July and December, including $1,000 from Sarasota deli magnate Frank Brunckhorst (the Boar's Head meat guy) and $250 from Simon Sherr, the Orlando-based videogame animator who oversaw EA Sports' Madden 09 and Madden 10.

Today is the deadline to file year-end campaign finance documents for all PACs and candidates for both Congress and the presidency; the filings outline donations and spending in the last quarter of 2011. None of the candidates' documents are available yet, but a news release from Rep. Allen West earlier this month claimed he raised $1.75 million in the fourth quarter and comes into 2012 with $2.7 million in his war chest. Stay tuned for more info as it comes in.
