Allen West: Iran Could Threaten South Florida With "21st Century Cuban Missile Crisis"

​There are two things Rep. Allen West is trying to sell this week -- war and war propaganda.

West did yesterday what he typically does -- take to Newsmax or Fox News to call people names and speak without any hint of fact, this time claiming President Obama's "incompetence" at understanding national security, but he kind of forgot to explain why.

And, oh, by the way, Cuban Missile Crisis part two is coming to South Florida, and it's Iran's fault. Strap on your tinfoil hats, folks, Congressman West is here.

"One thing that troubles me is [Iranian President] Mahmoud Ahmadinejad next week will travel through Latin America, South America, and coming up through Central America -- we are on the crux of having a 21st-century Cuban missile crisis that could threaten us in South Florida," West told Newsmax. "We cannot disengage and leave the staunch ally in the Middle East, which is Israel. But yet we see an Arab Spring that began a year ago has now turned into an Arab Winter -- so those are the types of things we have to evaluate."

Why's that? Because of "the enemy" and "the threat," according to West.

Oh -- almost forgot -- North Korea and China too.

"We haven't talked about the threat from North Korea now that they've had the transition in leadership," West told Newsmax. "And of course we know that China is developing the strategic navy and air forces."

Of course, this is the same guy who sincerely stated his support for giving the government power to indefinitely detain U.S. citizens if they're getting terrorist-y.
