James Mozie Convicted of Running a Kiddie-Sex Enterprise Out of Oakland Park House

Seven different victims testified at the trial that they were recruited to work at Mozie's house of child prostitution named the "Boom Boom Room," where he had security guards, sent out advertisements, and even had special job-application forms for potential underage prostitutes.
According to court documents, the Broward Sheriff's Office got a tip about a house of prostitution in Oakland Park, and that some of the girls were under 18.
Based on the tip, the BSO found a 16-year-old prostitute employed at the house in Oakland Park, and she sat down for an interview with investigators.
She said her and her 14-year-old cousin were going to hang out with some friends, who eventually took them to Mozie's house.
The girl said she recognized two of the girls that were in her class at school who were dancing in their underwear for some men in a front room of the house.
Mozie told her 14-year-old cousin to go to the back room, and when she came back, she was in her underwear dancing in front of the men.
Meanwhile, Mozie handed the 16-year-old girl a job application, which included information like her name, age, and "how well endowed a man the applicant would be willing to have sex with," among other questions.
She was told the she's dance for the men and get money for tips, while men could also request to have sex with her in the back room. Mozie got to keep 30 percent of the money from the "dates," as part of the deal.
The girl told the cops Mozie gave her a joint, but she believed there was something in there in addition to weed, saying smoking it "loosened her up," and made her want to "go with the flow."
Soon after, she was in the living room dancing for the men in her underwear.
According to court documents, when men requested to have sex with the girls, Mozie would set a timer for 30 minutes, and the time with the girl was over after that "whether or not he 'busted a nut.'"
On her first night, the girl said she had sex with three men, including Mozie, and made a grand total of $240. Her 14-year-old cousin made $290.
The cops began surveillance on the house, and eventually got a warrant in May.
First to go was doorman/security guard Willie Rice, who had a .380-caliber chrome pistol. He pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and is currently serving a four-year prison sentence.
Twelve men and four women were found inside the house. Two of the girls were underage, and told investigators that two of the people in the house -- Mozie and his wife, Shelly Harris -- were running the place.
They told investigators the same story as the girl who originally went to police, and added that Mozie would take pictures of her in her underwear and send them out in mass text-messages to potential customers.
The cops found the job applications -- under the header of "Pretty Pink Pussy" -- which included a spot to identify which "sexual talents" the girl had, or what type of situations she was willing to engage in, like "gang bangs" or bestiality.
Mozie was convicted by a jury yesterday on each of the 10 counts he was indicted on, and will face up to life in prison on each count at his February 28 sentencing.
Harris previously pleaded guilty to one count of sex trafficking of a minor, and is currently serving out a 13-year prison sentence.
