Anti-Earl Rynerson Website Gets an Update After Sun-Sentinel Error

Welcome to the internet, where misspelling a word by one letter can make you see things that cannot be unseen.

As many folks who stay in tune with the political side of Fort Lauderdale would know, mayoral candidate Earl Rynerson keeps his rants against City Hall and Mayor Jack Seiler on his website, abetterftlauderdale.com.

When the Sun-Sentinel wrote a short piece a few weeks ago about Rynerson's intention to run for mayor, it also made reference to Rynerson's website -- but didn't quite get the name of the site right.

That spelling of the website, and the link to it, were both to abetterfortlauderdale.com ("Fort" instead of "ft").

At the time of the Sentinel's posting, the anti-Rynerson site hadn't been updated since his last attempt at running for mayor.

The website was plain, crappy-looking, and included only the text of a 2009 Fox News article titled "Gay Candidate for Fort Lauderdale Mayor Has Curious Legal History."

Now, the website has been updated. According to GoDaddy.com, where the domain name was registered, the anti-Rynerson website was updated again the day after the Sentinel tossed in the wrong link.

Now the anti-Rynerson site has several pages, including articles from the Pulp and the Sentinel dating back to 2008, as well as a new piece from the Pulp and one from Tim Smith.

Whoops.
