Allen West Finds a New Friend to Help Him Raise Money: Donald Rumsfeld

The former Secretary of Defense, who said the Iraq War "certainly" wouldn't last longer than five months, has been named as a "special guest" to a $500-per-plate breakfast sponsored by West's campaign committee.
Lobbyist Buzz Hefti is hosting the event, which will take place in Washington, D.C., on the morning of October 27.
Rumsfeld, huh?
That would be the guy who said on March 30, 2003, that "we know" where the weapons of mass destruction were in Iraq, then said on May 14, 2003, "I don't believe anyone that I know in the administration ever said that Iraq had nuclear weapons."
Just making sure we're all talking about the same warmonger here.
West and Rumsfeld do have things in common, though, like their respective penchants for abusing Iraqis.
Arizona Sen. John McCain summed up Rumsfeld's political career quite nicely back in 2007:
"We are paying a very heavy price for the mismanagement -- that's the kindest word I can give you -- of Donald Rumsfeld, of this war," he said. "The price is very, very heavy, and I regret it enormously. I think that Donald Rumsfeld will go down in history as one of the worst secretaries of defense in history."
Maybe that's why he's joining Allen West's insider breakfast club.
