The BSO is investigating Robert Hocke's death.
A Davie scuba diver was found dead around 5 p.m. Sunday, about one mile south of the Dania Beach pier, the Broward Sheriff's Office has just reported.

Cops say that 62-year old Robert Hocke went missing at 1:14 p.m, after signaling to his dive buddy that he was running low on air.

Both men returned to the surface together and agreed to return to their friends' boat. When Hocke's dive buddy got back to the boat, however, Hocke was gone.

Hocke's body was eventually found near where he was last seen alive.

Foul play isn't suspected. Cops will still perform an autopsy to determine Hocke's exact cause of death.

There do not appear to be any signs that Hocke expected any problems during Sunday's Atlantic Ocean trip, where he descended to depths of some 25 feet. He appeared to have had a normal day, and had reportedly been hanging out on his pals'  private lobster schooner without incident, the BSO reports.
