UPDATED: Federal Courthouse in West Palm Beach Evacuated Due to Suspicious Vehicle

UPDATE: The scene is reportedly clear, and the surrounding streets will reopen.

Police in West Palm Beach are investigating reports of a suspicious U-Haul truck on Banyan Boulevard.

According to the Palm Beach County Clerk's office, Banyan Boulevard has been closed to traffic, and the Federal Courthouse in the area has been evacuated.

Video of the scene shows the U-Haul truck has a sign on the side saying "Google Edgar Bushey" and underneath that says, "Frank Baker, PBSO, lied and did no investigation."

According to an arrest affidavit on the website where the sign on the U-Haul is attempting to direct people, Bushey was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in 1995 on a charge of capital sexual battery on an 8-year-old girl.

Florida Department of Law Enforcement records show Bushey was convicted of the crime in 1996, and he is currently a registered sex offender.

He was also convicted in 2008 of not complying with sex-offender registration and currently has no known address, according to the FDLE.

Florida Department of Corrections records show Bushey was sentenced to six years in prison for the sexual battery charge and served 4.5 years.

It's not yet known what connection Bushey has to that abandoned U-Haul truck aside from the banner on the side directing people to the website named after him.
