Allen West: Obama's a Marxist, and "I Need a Bucket" to Describe Debbie Wasserman Schultz

It seems like it's been a while, but Rep. Allen West is back on the media circuit, this time declaring President Obama a "Marxist" and saying he'd "need a bucket" when Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz's name was brought up.

Yesterday, West was a guest of the Michael Berry Show on a Houston AM radio station and was asked to say the first thing that came to mind when Berry said someone's name during a free-association game, telling him to be "undiplomatic and unscripted, which you typically are."

After going through about a dozen names, including calling Vice President Joe Biden "nutty" and "mindless," Berry called out Wasserman Schultz.

"I need a bucket," West replied.

After that, Berry brought up the email spat between the two congressional members, saying, "That wasn't after three beers; that was in writing."

West said the feud originally stemmed from Wasserman Schultz's calling for a "riot" outside West's campaign headquarters, and West agreed with Berry that he used "psychological intimidation" in his rant about Wasserman Schultz being the most "vile, unprofessional, and despicable" member of Congress.

Then there's West's belief that President Obama is attempting to intentionally ruin the economy to install a system based on his Marxist beliefs:

It is intentional because this is who the president is. The president is a Marxist because he believes in the separation of classes. We have never heard a president in the United States of America speak as he is. And when you have a national leader, you look throughout history, when you have a national leader that demonizes a certain segment of society and attacks them, it has never ended up well, and yet, that's what we have. He is a socialist, because he believes in nationalizing production.

Aside from the fact that Karl Marx's philosophy included a classless society, Washington Monthly's Steve Benen brings up a good point about West's little diatribe about Obama:

The political world should at least consider the possibility that Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) is some kind of liberal performance artist, secretly pretending to be a right-wing congressman to make Republicans look like lunatics... West at least deserves credit for recognizing phrases like "nationalizing production," but he still sounds like an unhinged wackjob if he believes President Obama in any way resembles a "Marxist."

He is right. Many years ago a prominent Russian stated "we will destroy the United Stated, but we will not do it militarily, we will corrupt their children".  Well, mission accomplished!  You clueless duped folks whom think Obama is not destroying the country are perfect examples.  Sadly it matters not, our country will collapse into a type of European Social Welfare State, eventually leading to total economic collapse due to the inherent result of a non-productive society.  We are close right now, so keep your heads buried in the sand and later be shocked as you end up asking..."what happened to the country'!  History teaches you NOTHING!

People who throw around the "socialist" and "Marxist" epithets do so in utter ignorance.  They wouldn't know a real socialist if that person were staring them right in the face.  I would expect common decency from any Congressman, and if you don't think what you stand for is fairly characterized on the floor of Congress, the proper response is to refute any accusations and not to spew vile personal epithets against a Congressional colleague.  DWS tries to stick to issues, whether you support her specific positions or not.

Just once, I would like to hear an interviewer follow these assertions with..."PLease define Marxism for our audience and then give examples of the President's Marxist policies." I am sure you would discover this man doesn't have a clue, as do the majority of name callers, as to what these political definitions are. And two, answering with "needing a bucket" is NOT how you behave as a US Representative towards your fellow house members. You may not agree with each other's policies, but the 7 year old name calling and derogatory remarks are just definitive of the lack of class and intelligence of this man. And I have written him several times and his responses are condescending and patriarchal...his hatred for smart assertive women is evident in his letters and his remarks toward Wasserman-Schultz.

Why are DWS's eyes so far apart? Looks like a form of mental retardation. That would explain allot about her. Now, if the mystery of her deep manly voice could be explained.

You, my friend, are the wackjob.  Obama is a Marxist, and if you read his book, The Audacity of Hope, you would know that he said in it that he, to paraphrase, hung out with the Marxists.  What does it take for you who are politically challenged to know a Marxist when you hear and see one?

Col. Allen West is absolutely right - right on - regarding his comments about Debbie Wasserman.  She is a disgrace to our country as a US Representative. She's hard, tough, absolutely afeminine and un-lady like (West is absolute rightabout this) and desiminates generated disinformation - very dangerous, very disgustingfor Americans . .. A smoothe, prophygandic tongue, and as West so accuratelystates, "vile."   West should be commended for hitting it accurately on the head somany times. He has courage, and accurately states what most Americans are thinking. He's a great American who represents millions and millions of good Americans.

why don't these jerks get back to their JOBS instead of bashing each other?

I didnt vote to hear these idiots on local media talking trash, I can't think of any other elected official that would use term "I need a bucket."  The guy has no class, who does he represent?  What has he done to help Florida?

Yep, Allen, now that you mention it, I DO hear Obama talking a lot about the dictatorship of the proletariat, and how the state will wither away, and how religion is just the opiate of the masses. Good thing we don't have a cult of personality in this People's Democratic Republic of Amerika.

Mathew, I'd like to point out a little error in the above blog posting.

It says above that ...West agreed with Berry that he used "psychological intimidation" in his rant about Wasserman Schultz being the most "vile, unprofessional, and despicable" member of Congress.

I believe that the correct term term to describe Mr West's conduct would be that he used psychopathological  intimidation.

Don't start spending that congressional pension yet Congressman West, I dont think that you will be going back after the 2012 election.

so socialists are rubber and obama's glue? everytime they talk about class struggle it bounces off of them and onto obama?

if we're so politically challenged, please describe obama's marxist policies to me. i'm going to take a wild guess that i'll find out you have absolutely no idea what socialism means whatsoever.

But then again, according to Karl Marx, capitalism will no longer be able to sustain the living standards of the population due to its need to compensate for falling rates of profit by driving down wages, cutting social benefits and pursuing military aggression.

Been following the news lately?

I guess the only way I'd know a Marxist if it was "Take a Marxist with you to work day."

By Marxist, do you mean health care for all?  What an absolutely fucking horrible idea right?

PS  I would never have guessed you actually read books.

By "good Americans", do you mean angry, ignorant, white xenophobes?

Yes, West represents them wonderfully.
