Andrew Florvil was turned down while begging for a cigarette and $1 last night, and he may have overreacted a bit.

According to Delray Beach police, a nanny was going on a walk over a bridge around the 3800 block of South Lake Drive when she was approached by 27-year-old Florvil, who asked her for a cigarette.

She told him that she didn't have one, whereupon Florvil grabbed her with one hand -- with his knife in the other hand -- and attempted to drag her to the base of the bridge, according to an arrest affidavit.

While she was being dragged away kicking and screaming, a passerby got out of his car, at which point police say Florvil let her go and went over the bridge into Boynton Beach.

There, Bonyton Beach police say Florvil approached a 61-year-old man who was jogging in the same area and asked him for a dollar.

According to that arrest affidavit, the man told Florvil he didn't have any money, so Florvil said "fuck you" and swung his knife at the man, slicing him under the chin and on the hand.

Florvil ran away but then returned to the area at a walking pace before going off into a wooded area.

After a search by Boynton Beach cops, a K-9 officer finally found Florvil -- who for some reason had wet pants by this time -- on the 2400 block of S. Congress Ave.

Florvil faces charges of battery with a cutting instrument and a probation violation from Boynton Beach police as well as charges of false imprisonment, aggravated assault, and simple battery from the Delray Beach cops.

According to the Florida Department of Corrections, Florvil was sentenced to five years of probation in April for -- unsurprisingly -- aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

He's currently being held at the Palm Beach County jail.
