"Anti-American Extremists" Are Running Wilton Manors Businesses, Religious Kooks Say

The Christian Family Coalition -- a local gay-fearing clan -- loves to make ridiculous statements, and we've begun to chronicle their rise to Westboro Baptist "Church" status for their outrageous accusations.

The latest out of the CFC is that the Wilton Manors Business Association is a gang of "anti-American extremists and racists" for uninviting Rep. Allen West to speak at one of its events.

There's some debate going on as to whether the association was in the wrong about their takeback of the invitation over West's controversial views, which has led to the sane response to the situation from West, the slightly odd response from his wife, and now the completely insane response from the CFC.

Calling themselves "Florida's tireless human rights and social advocacy organization," the CFC says they're asking "all fair-minded Americans to reject the Wilton Manors Business Association's (WMBA) disrespectful, undemocratic and hate-based cancelation [sic] of its previously scheduled August 8th meeting with U.S. Congressman Allen West, the popular, decorated Iraq war veteran."

Then they get to the "good" stuff:

While homosexual extremists continuously shed crocodile tears for allegedly being "victims" of "discrimination," once they get their foot in the door, they brutally silence all who disagree with them. Their threats, intimidation, and blackmail forced the city of Wilton Manors to bow to their unjust and outrageous demands to disrespectfully snub and censor Cong. West.

These underhanded, undemocratic tactics are no different from those used against citizens by the KKK, Neo-Nazis, Stalinists and like-minded, bigoted, racist, anti-American extremists.

Americans must wake up to these disturbing attacks against their basic rights and freedoms! Will you give up your country to anti-American extremists? Today, they targeted Cong. Allen West, will you be next?

Cong. West, when in Washington, please remember: The homosexual extremists running the city of Wilton Manors don't deserve any federal taxpayer dollars to operate their corrupt, racist, discriminatory and intolerant municipal administration and hold hostage all the good citizens of Wilton Manors. Intolerant, racist, homosexual extremists have no place in modern American society. Too much American blood has been shed in battlefields across the globe to secure the blessings of freedom and representative government only to have a few anti-American extremists destroy these blessings here at home.

That's right, folks -- you heard it here first. The big gay Nazis are coming to overthrow the government, according to the CFC.

For more background on the situation that likely came from outside the white padded walls, check out the opposing editorials here and here.

This is article number three in a series we're calling "Dumb Things the Christian Family Coalition Says." Here are the first and second.

Oh yeah, every time I drive through Wilton Manors or shop there, the first thing that springs to mind is all the blatant Naziism.  HAHAHAH!!This is just HILARIOUS!  Just because they demigod West, who is obviously against anyone homosexual (except for those mythic four of course) the churchies have to get up in arms.  Really?  I wouldnt let West into a paper bag for the crimes he has committed. But the churchies do like their megalomaniac torturers.  I think it feeds into their paranoid nature.  According to them, everyone else is bringing their country down.  Maybe West can lead them to a promised land, preferably an island far away.  They can call it Batshitsivania.

This CFC release is a sure indication that the organization's constituency has been relegated to a small group of haters.  It is the social values equivalent of the John Birch Society.

"Christians" practicing selective morality. I would suggest that the Wilton Manors Business Association lost a golden opportunity to allow West to further expose his bigotry and intolerance. He has a self destructive tendency to do that when given a forum.

I would laugh but I was taught that it isn't appropriate to make fun of the mentally ill.

Sounds like Allen West wrote this himself. Wouldn't be the first time a politician has - ahem.....ala Rick Scott.

When you don't have an argument, or if you need to disguise a hate-filled diatribe masquerading as a statement on human rights, just play the "nazi" card.

It's referred to as "lobbying", you christian extremists. We live in America, where every organization--including your own putrid organization--has the right to assert political pressure to effectuate change.

The virtues of religion?  Which include:

Religion allows a person to hate, kill, torture, or steal, while allowing him to recuse himself of all blame.

Religion causes people to break the laws of ethics and morality in the name of a god.

Religion dulls the mind and weakens the senses.  It makes "God did it" seem like a reasonable answer to anything at all, squelching questions of why, how, and when, and replacing these questions with repeated mantras and prayers to nobody.

Religion is exquisitely profitable, with most adherents tithing a portion of their income.  The churches, synagogues, and mosques, which do little to serve their community outside of "outreach programs" (marketing and recruiting), pay almost no taxes.

Religion spreads like disease through societies, rarely coexisting with pre-existing mythologies, rather preferring to conquer or be conquered. Religion is anything but tolerant.

In the end, if you choose to ignore logic and knowledge in order to believe in an invisible magic man in the sky, or Santa Claus for that matter, you've made a ridiculous decision and I'm not going to pretend it's "just another way of looking at things."

I challenge the ethics of the professional liars who claim to speak for gods to bilk parishioners into giving away their money in exchange for an immortality that will never be granted.  I also challenge the ethics of the politicians who use government to further their religious agenda, and vice versa.  I will not let anyone's religion infiltrate our schools, our government, or our pockets, at least not without a good fight.
