Reggie Bush, likely to become the newest Miami Dolphin.
Fox Sports' Jay Glazer says the New Orleans Saints have worked out a trade to bring running back Reggie Bush to the Miami Dolphins, as long as Bush agrees to a new contract with the Fins.

UPDATE: The deal has reportedly gone through, as Bush is said to have agreed to a two-year deal with the Dolphins.

That reported trade has also been confirmed by ESPN's Adam Schefter, who's the most solid source in the NFL rumor department.

"When Bush tweeted it had been fun in [New Orleans], he knew the score," Schefter says.

Bush would likely compete for a starting spot in Miami against the oft-injured Ronnie Brown -- although Bush is no stranger to injury problems himself -- but would easily find a spot ahead of former chronic weed-smoker Ricky Williams.

The details of the trade are unknown, so it's not clear whether Bush would have the opportunity to play alongside Brown or Williams, especially since the Dolphins took Kansas State running back Daniel Thomas with its second-round draft pick.

As fans of football would know, when Bush (or Brown) are healthy, they're two of the most explosive running backs in the league.

The most rushing yards Bush has ever gained in a season was 581 in 2007, while Brown picked up 1,008 in 2006 during his only 1,000-yard season.

Of course, Bush doesn't come to Miami without some baggage.

Bush had taken gifts from sports agents while he was attending USC, which led to the school's president saying they would take down all of the murals of Bush and memorabilia related to him from the school.

The school returned its copy of Bush's Heisman Trophy, and while it was rumored that the Heisman Trust was going to strip the award title from Bush, he sent his trophy back to the trust, which then vacated his title to one of the most prized awards in all of sports.

And yes, let us not forget, he dated Kim Kardashian, but he also has a Super Bowl ring -- which he won in Super Bowl XLIV at Sun Life Stadium.

Aside from the injury aspect, Bush is a lot less of a risk than, say, Dolphins-wannabe Plaxico Burress.
