Charles Harper, Judge's Troubled Ex-Foster Son, Allegedly Went on Home-Robbing Spree

​We have some more details about crimes allegedly committed last month by Charles Harper, the foster child turned stalker turned sex-abuse accuser whose life has been unfortunately entwined with that of Broward Circuit Judge John Bowman.

According to incident reports from PBSO, one day in June was a burglary bonanza for Harper. Eduardo Guimares, a Boca Raton resident, told police that he came home on June 21 and found Harper coming down the stairs. When Guimares asked Harper what he was doing there, he said "I'm looking for somebody." According to police, the upstairs of the house was "ransacked" and a laptop and case lay on a downstairs couch.

When police responded to a 911 call from Guimares, he shouted "I'm in here" from the living room. A deputy writes that "we ran to the living room area of the home where we found the homeowner, Eduardo Guimares, lying down on top of the suspect who was later identified as... Harper."

The deputy said it appeared that Harper had entered through a kitchen window. Harper was booked that night at the Palm Beach main jail.

That same day, deputies say, they responded to a call around 4 p.m. about a burglary at the house of Patrick Kingsbury, also in Boca Raton. He reported about $6,500 worth of goods stolen, including a PS3 game system, digital cameras, iPhones, jewelry, and watches.

Finally, that evening, deputies responded to a burglary call at the Boca Raton home of Robert Horowitz, who told them that somebody had broken in and stolen around $2,000 in property, including an iPod and jewelry.

Items from both of these burglaries were later found in a Dodge Durango that was allegedly being used by Harper.
