Tavares West: Sixth BSO Jailer Arrested for Allegedly Smuggling Contraband

Tavares Damian West, 34, allegedly brought in a bag with headphones and batteries as well as the aforementioned smokes and blow with the intention of getting $400 from an inmate, the Broward Sheriff's Office says. By "inmate," West discovered, he was actually handing over the goods as part of an undercover sting, according to NBC Miami.
West's arrest seems right in line with the supposed actions of his other alleged criminal cop pals.
Deputy Wonza Moore, 48, was arrested after she was caught allegedly smuggling stuff in for attempted-murder suspect Rasuul Mustafa, as a result of what investigators called a "personal relationship" between the two.
Salisia Pasco, 30, told investigators she had sex with an inmate in a jailhouse broom closet. She resigned.
Kiara Walker, 22, gave a suspected cop killer a cell phone while he was in jail, and they went on a sexting spree with one another, officials say.
Roderick Lopez, 30, is accused of bringing food, batteries, and cell phones to various inmates and once collected a payment from an inmate's girlfriend while in uniform, according to investigators.
Keith McPhee, 37, brought some food, electronics, and some saucy pictures of an inmate's girlfriend to him for a couple of hundred bucks, officials say.
These arrests have all taken place under the investigation, which began in December, leading to the jail's randomly searching employees and banning them from bringing cell phones to work.
