Spirit Airlines to Charge Fee for Boarding Pass; We Hope Bathrooms Are Still Free

• Bitch, bitch, bitch....If you don't like it fly on another airline. 

• People are going to complain not matter what. Travel is a luxury anymore. We pay for luxury in every industry. As stated in the article if you check in online you don't pay a fee. Plan ahead and don’t pay the fee. Looks like they are trying to make things run more efficiently. No different then calling your credit card people and paying a $5.00 convenience fee to pay your bill. Whose convenience? Not the person paying. I checked out flights online and Spirit still was the cheapest for where I wanted to go. If you want first class treatment and accommodations you pay for it. Has anyone looked at the fuel charge? When I looked up a ticket( example) the flight $45.00 and fuel charge $65.00 before taxes and etc. Why don’t anyone complain about that? A business has to make a profit. If there is not profit then no business, less choices, and options for us. You complain about prices now. Let some of these low cost carriers go under and there will be less choices and WAY higher prices! Fly one of the other Airlines or check in online if you don’t want to pay. The article says the price will go down $5.00 to off set the price so looks like if you check in online you save $10.00 and if you go to an agent you really not paying extra! Hummm now what is there to complain about? I’m sure people will find something else.

• People complain about this airline, but every flight I've been on has every seat filled!  Spirit is also going about this all wrong!  If they stated you get 5 bucks off your full fare by printing your boarding pass at home, I'm certain more people would love this!

• I can understand if there's a considerable difference in price...but there isnt.. at least from fll to lga... ive flown spirit multiple times and the lack of service, comfort, convenience is not worth the savings of $20.

• Before I stopped flying Spirit because of the increasing fees, I avoided the fee for picking a seat after I puchased my ticket. I just didn't pick a seat and was not charged. When I showed up at the airport, they assigned me a seat and I was not charged, and often these seats were the more expensive seats up-front that most people didn't want to pay for.

• It is $40 for carry -on, this is what I was charged on June 9, 2011.  When I was flying out on June 2,2011 I paid $ 30. Week later, returning home  I was told price went up to $40 on June 7, 2011.
