Riveros, 41, was arrested in March 2009 after the girl and her mother went to the cops to tell them about the abuse, which the girl said started when she was as young as 8 years old.
He was found guilty of capital sexual battery on a person less than 12 years of age, two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, and one count of sexual activity with a child, according to a news release from the State Attorney's Office.
Circuit Judge Barry Cohen handed down the mandatory life sentence on the capital sexual battery charge, and the other crimes added up to an extra 25 years, the Palm Beach Post reports.
Riveros had been sexually abusing the girl since she was as young as 8 and began raping her by the time she was 10, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
The girl finally went to the cops when she was 13 -- while the rapes were still going on -- and told police that Riveros had been sexually abusing her since she and her mother moved to West Palm Beach.
In a recorded phone call between Riveros and the girl, Riveros told her to lie about anything he was accused of doing, the cops say.
