| Leslie Nielsen, a Fort Lauderdale favorite, died November 28, 2010, at age 84. |
He is, and don't call us Shirley.
Pictures today show Nielsen's Fort Lauderdale gravesite at Evergreen Cemetery -- which, of course, wouldn't be complete without a couple of one-liners.
"Let 'er rip," a reference to Nielsen's penchant for fart-related humor, is engraved on his gravestone -- something he had declared his epitaph should read a few years before his death.
There's also a bench facing the gravestone reading, "Sit down whenever you can" -- which was the advice he would give aspiring actors looking to make it big.
We went over to the cemetery to check it out, where we ran into a Nielsen fan who says she still can't believe Nielsen is dead.
The woman tells New Times she's friends of an unnamed Nielsen ex-girlfriend who knew plenty of stories about the man that she says she probably shouldn't tell a reporter.
Then her phone went off -- playing the Naked Gun theme song of course.
