Trial of Alleged "Demonically Possessed" Rapist and Tag-Teaming Brother Ends in Hung Jury

The men are accused of forcing the woman into their car outside of the Voodoo Fort Lauderdale nightclub, taking her to Lauderhill, and raping her in December 2006.
Two male and four female jurors could not reach a verdict today, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
Guy Cherubin, who decided to let Broward Circuit Judge Jeffrey Levenson know he was "demonically possessed" but also innocent, is a suspect in two other rape cases, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. He's being held without bail, while Harold Cherubin is being held on $100,000 bail.
The victim testified that she didn't know the brothers, and DNA evidence was presented that showed both of them had sex with her, according to the Sentinel. Meanwhile, the brothers' lawyers argued that DNA evidence alone could not prove that rape occurred.
Guy Cherubin's other alleged rapes both took place in 2008, according to the BSO.
In September 2008, the cops say he raped a 48-year-old homeless woman on the beach in Pompano Beach, after covering her face and holding what may have been a knife to her side.
The other, 11 days later, allegedly occurred on Pompano Beach Boulevard after the woman left the Briny Pub. In that one, he's accused of punching and kicking her to the ground -- causing six broken ribs -- before raping her, the cops say.
Both Cherubin brothers face life in prison for the kidnapping charge and 15 years for the rape charge in their retrial.
A new trial will be scheduled next Wednesday.
