Don't invite the Sun-Sentinel to your next pervert party.
The Sun-Sentinel sure knows how to ruin a pervert party.

The paper had been working on a story detailing how hard it is for sex offenders to find a place to live in South Florida when it noticed that 24 registered sexual deviants were listed as living in the same building.

Last week, they asked Glen Patel -- owner of the Budget Inn near North Federal Highway and Oakland Park Boulevard -- about nearly half of his 50-room motel being occupied by sex offenders.

He had no idea.

"For the safety of my [other] guests, I can't keep them there," he told the paper.

State probation officers recommended Patel evict the gaggle of sex offenders from his building, which he did.

Since 2007, that Budget Inn -- which reportedly includes a heart-shaped jacuzzi -- had been home to at least 36 registered sex offenders, with various convictions including kiddie porn, child molestation, kidnapping, and sexual battery of a child, the paper says.

The cops say sex offenders like to live in packs and congregate together when they find a place that will let them in.

The problem -- which the paper was trying to explain before it ruined the pervert party -- was that it's really hard for sex offenders to find a place to live.

Fort Lauderdale has an ordinance that won't allow most sex offenders to live within 1,400 feet of a school, park, playground, day-care center, or school-bus stop.

It's more strict than state law, which allows them to move within 1,000 feet of aforementioned kiddie hot spots.

That leaves only 10 percent of the entire city of Fort Lauderdale as available real-estate for sexual predators, which leaves them a little short on rental opportunities, the paper says.

Now there are a couple of dozen sex offenders looking for a new spot to live, thanks to the pervert party police over at the Sentinel.

Dear Mr. Patel,

We commend you on your recent efforts to control sex offenders in your community. Without a doubt your city is safer. We believe more can be done. The FBI estimates that only 16% of all sex offenders have been caught and convicted. That means that in your community, 84% of the total actively offending sex offenders still prey on children.

It is imperative for the safety of your community's children and other vulnerable citizens that none of your elected or appointed leaders or business leaders are part of the majority of sex offenders, those hiding in the shadows, not yet revealed.

We are asking all elected and appointed officials if they would submit to a polygraph test to rule out the possibility that they are part of the 84%.

1. Since reaching the age of 18 have you ever had sexual contact with a family member?2. Since reaching the age of 18 have you ever had sexual contact with a minor?3. Since reaching the age of 18 have you ever had sexual electronic communication with a minor?4. Have you ever had sexual contact with an animal?5. Have you ever created or viewed child pornography?6. Has an underage family member ever saw you nude?7. Have you ever continued to have sexual contact after being asked to stop?8. Have you ever used a position of power to gain sexual favors?9. Have you ever written child sexual erotica?10. Have you knowledge of an abused child and neglected to report the abuse?

Optional

Since reaching the age of 18 have you ever had sexual fantasies about a minor?

As you can see, all of our questions, if answered in the positive, indicate a sex crime. We are not out to trip up or embarrass community leaders, so we kept our questions such that only a sex criminal would be indicated.

The optional question does not indicate a crime, only a thought process. Mental health professionals dealing with sex offenders report that aberrant thought processes usually lead to acting out, and it is important for parents to know if their elected and appointed leaders have deviant thoughts about children. If you have nothing to hide or be ashamed of, then you will answer the optional question.

We will tabulate the results of our survey and compare to the FBI estimate and your community's known sex offenders to establish a statistical mean.

Our results shall divided into the following categories:

Accepted Test:Passed:Signed ReleaseAccepted Test:Failed:Signed ReleaseAccepted Test:Failed:No ReleaseRefused Test

We will release our results to the local media in your community, region and state.

This survey in no way is compulsory and we will not release the results of your test without a signed release authorization. You can accept the test and prove to your community that you are not a child sex predator or you can refuse the test. Not everyone is comfortable answering such personal questions about their past actions.

If testing does uncover suspected sexual crimes against children, we will report those results to your local police department for further investigation, but if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear.

Please reply and indicate whether you accept or refuse our invitation to prove you are not an undiscovered sex offender lurking and preying. Those that do not answer our request are placed in the Refused Test category. Please simply reply with Yes or No. This request is not an invitation for dialogue or discussion. We just need to know if you accept or refuse the testing.

Thank you again for your efforts to keep America's children safe.

So Mr. Patel... are you willing to prove to your guests that YOU are not oneof themissing 84%? I bet not.

Miranda,

You're attempt to criticize Mr. Patel for ostracizing sexual predators is not only appalling but seriously demented and you should seek serious help. Your questionnaire is not only laughable but is a completely empty and useless to determine if a person is a or is going to be a sexual predator. Your attempt to use vague questions to elicit positive answers to your questions to get as many people as possible into your "Failed" category is only a shining example of how low and suspect your own personal morals are.

1. Since reaching the age of 18 have you ever had sexual contact with a family member? If I were 16, in your family and had sexual contact with you apparently that's ok. I hope you don't use this question to abuse your own family members citing it's ok as long your haven't reached the age of 18 yet! Here's a fun fact, it's never ok to have sexual contact with a family member!

2. Since reaching the age of 18 have you ever had sexual contact with a minor? An 18 year old and 17 year old having sex isn't illegal, it's high school.

3. Since reaching the age of 18 have you ever had sexual electronic communication with a minor? That's all 18 year olds on Facebook.

4. Have you ever had sexual contact with an animal? Are you insinuating that sexual predators have had sexual contact with an anima? If you are that's all the more reason to keep them from 1,000 ft away from zoos since there are kids AND animals there.

5. Have you ever created or viewed child pornography? If you created child pornography then you ARE a sexual predator. Unfortunately if you've viewed it you may need to delete some contacts on your e-mail list and never view spam EVER especially when it says you won some money.

6. Has an underage family member ever saw you nude?Ever? Really ever? Maybe, "Have you ever exposed your sexual organs to a minor child with the expressed intent to sexually arouse yourself"? Because a lesbian woman taking a shower with her three year old daughter should be incarcerated? Then again my question wasn't vague enough to include adults in most latin cultures taking showers with minor children WITHOUT any sexual connotations. But you wanted numbers right?

7. Have you ever continued to have sexual contact after being asked to stop? You're probably not married because whenever I'm asked to stop having sex because the neighbors might hear I don't even skip a beat. Was it too much to ask if you're ever raped another person before? Again thanks for playing.

8. Have you ever used a position of power to gain sexual favors?Did I mention my spouse was my secretary? I still don't like to have sex with children by the way.

9. Have you ever written child sexual erotica? This one I will give you, 1/10. That's even bad by FCAT standards.

10. Have you knowledge of an abused child and neglected to report the abuse?Abused? Not sexually abused specifically but any kind of abuse or neglect. What if I don't report it but fix the problem myself. Oh right, your question said "report".... epic fail.

I only have three questions Miranda and I hope you can answer them.

1. Have you ever wanted to have sex with a person prior to them reaching puberty just because you knew they had not reached puberty and that fact arouses you?

2. Have you ever been sexually aroused by a naked child simply because they were considered a child regardless of how they looked?

3. Have you ever been sexually aroused because you wanted to touch a child under the mere premise that you knew they would be inept to report the improper conduct to the proper authorities due to their lack of understanding, maturity or knowledge of how to do so.

And here's the best part.... if you answered yes to any of these questions you've won a one way ticket to HELL!! Yay! Bravo Mr. Patel, the rest of the sane world thanks you.
