Well, they aren't that strange -- those of you who read the Juice blog already know the work of these fine reporters, so it won't be new for you at all.

Former Deerfield Beach Commissioner Steve Gonot is fighting for his freedom against charges that he stole campaign money for himself in a ruse involving his "personal banker," Joseph DePrimo.
Inside, the $25 million pet school you bought for Jennifer Gottlieb in Hollywood just can't seem to stay out of controversy.
The school, Beachside Village Montessori, which was highlighted by the grand jury in its scathing report as an unnecessary expense for taxpayers, remains under federal investigation for alleged discrimination against poor minorities in the area. The U.S. Department of Eduction's Office of Civil Rights had begun an investigation of the school and then closed it. Well, it recently informed Hollywood Commissioner Heidi O'Sheehan, who courageously filed the complaint, that it had reopened the investigation.
It's the right thing to do -- because the school is clearly giving preference to its neighbors who have the money to afford the school's $135-a-week pre-K program, which essentially weeds out those who can't. Here's a copy of the DOE letter:
