The head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for South Florida, Anthony V. Mangione, might be leaving the job a little earlier than he expected.

Mangione had planned to retire this summer, but the 50-year-old ICE chief who often railed against child porn has recently been placed on paid administrative leave because of four child-porn images allegedly found on his home computer, the Miami Herald reports.

Mangione's internet service provider, AOL, had alerted a nonprofit center for missing and exploited children about the images. The nonprofit then forwarded the information to child-porn investigators, who then subpoenaed AOL for the identity of the alleged receiver of the images. With that, the FBI obtained a warrant to search Mangione's Broward home.

On Saturday, federal agents, along with the Broward County Sheriff's Office, seized Mangione's computer from his home in Parkland. Authorities also reportedly seized his computer from ICE's Miami-Dade office.

Though Mangione is under federal investigation, the Herald reports that there are no court records saying he has been charged with a crime. Still, the probe might last beyond this summer, the time that he had hoped to retire.

"It's going to take some time forensically to examine the computer," a federal official told the paper.
