Note to "Distressed" Dinnen: No More Tears

• Answer to number 1- I believe the Grand Jury Report did a CREDIBLE JOB of investigating and exposing, somewhat, the malfeasance and incompetence that has permeated this Broward County School Board but unfortunately for some reason it lacked any substantial means to hand down indictments and basically put the ball in the overburdened taxpayers court to seek out any meaningful change. And it has been a "reign of terror" when people lose their jobs and the students have to suffer through a lack of money to ensure a decent education because the money has pissed away supporting lobbyist and developers lining their filthy pockets with money meant for the children. Answer to number 2- I don't know what is wrong with me when I expect someone to DO THEIR FUCKING JOB for a position that they actually sought. I was so naive to believe that a school board member would WANT TO ENSURE THE PROPER EDUCATION FOR THE CHILDREN OF BROWARD COUNTY INSTEAD OF EATING LOBSTER DINNERS AND WALKING AWAY WITH DOGGIE BAGS STUFFED WITH MONEY LIKE A CHEAP, SKANKY WHORE!!!! After I am done spending 10 hours at work everyday doing the job that my boss is paying me to do I will go ahead and do the work that the school members are paid to do so as not to hurt anybodys feeling and they will have plenty of time for manicures and the hairdresser and driving around in their LITTLE RED CORVETTE! NOW GO PUT ON YOUR LONG RUBBER BOOTS SO THE SHEEP DONT RUN AWAY WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO FUCK THEM!!!!

• @ Sheep - I don't think anyone has actually said that the "new" board are criminally corrupt. As for proof, let's just take a good look at the grand jury report as well as the audit that was done. Oh yeah, the board said the audit that showed they misspent Hurricane Wilma Federal Aid was incorrect. That's all I need to know. It has been reported by other news fronts about the widespread mismanagement of funds. In case you were still under your rock or out in the fields eating your grass, google it; I am sure that will aid in your digestion.

• I agree that some education systems have failed certain individuals or maybe those individuals just failed. Some of the people commenting on this fact deficient, blanket accusation of an article are living proof. Maybe it's the blogger doing the anonymous commenting to enrage the misinformed? I'm see nothing but emotionally driven complaints with very little substantiation as to what "malfeasance" actually took place and who on the board was responsible for what. Who wants their tax money to be wasted, especially on something as important as education? I am all for calling out those who are at fault, but so far I am not convinced the entire board is to blame. Some of us actually need evidence, proof of why the entire school board should be equated with "terror". Seriously? Whats next? Is Glenn Beck going to weigh in on this one? Maybe ACORN played a role? Step 1 - provide credible source to back you outrageous sweeping generalizations about an entire group of people, such as a web link...besides this blog which so far seems to be content with promoting itself through internet "journalism" worthy of FoxNews.com. Step 2 - Tell us what YOU have done or are going to do to improve your public schools?

• What's been happening lately to the School Board elite and in the media is fantastic. Let’s just hope it doesn’t stop and that all these corrupt SOB’s get arrested. We want to see some heads role and stop hearing “let them eat cake”. These jerks aren't in touch with reality. While working at the School Board I observed rampant government corruption. I’m among the lot of administrative employees in the Facilities and Construction Management Department that got axed last summer, in 2010. I can’t stand the arrogance these f*&@%*’s have to stand in from of the community a say they’re clean. No, they’re filthy corrupt parasites and I saw it happen with my own eyes while working there. I truly believe that the community needs to keep demanding that the Feds and the State continue investigating into the gross mismanagement that has caused the Broward School Board to teeter on financial ruin. The administrators at the top are either woefully ignorant or unhesitant liars. Accountability and frugality apparently have no meaning to most of the elected officials and salaried bureaucrats at any level of government, and especially at the School Board. The time I spent at the School Board was enjoyable. Working for the School Board, was also a wake up call on how prevalent government “subtle” corruption can be, as described below: 1. Falsifying documents: The Director of the Contracts Department was falsifying documents to favor certain Contractors when they came for review at the selection committees. He was editing and removing negative comments written by Project Managers which could dissuade committee members from voting for certain Contractors. No one wanted to do anything about it because they were too afraid of losing their jobs. It was brought up to some Board Members and top administrators who didn’t do anything about it because most of them were “in bed” with the same Contractors. These selection committees and their minions were using these methods to provide justifications as to why they kept hiring the same companies repeatedly. 2. Nepotism and Favoritism at the interview process: Interviews were conducted in front of panels of 3 to 4 Administrators. The candidates were made to believe that the interview process was impartial but what really happened was that a candidate had already been chosen ahead of time. That candidate was almost always from within the “machine”. The way the interviewers got around this “impartial” system was by using pencils (pencils have erasers) and after the candidates had left the room the scores were changed to favor the “friend” they wanted to promote. Incompetent people got promoted this way and are still employed. I pity the poor schmucks who came to interviews in the hope of getting hired at the Broward School Board for administrative positions. 9 times out of 10 they would miss out. And who would get hired? An incompetent bureaucratic who had been clawing his way up slowly to the top of the system. A large percentage of the administrative employees don’t even have degrees, or if they do they obtained them from “basket weaving” degree low tier Universities (i.e., Nova, Barry, St. Thomas, Phoenix, etc…). 3. Lying about degrees and qualifications: The Broward School Board has a written policy of asking for proof of college degrees or qualifications (i.e., licenses). You used to be permitted to submit unofficial college transcripts with your job application when you initially applied for a position. However, once a candidate was hired he was never asked to follow up and provide official transcripts to the Broward School Board. The reason for this was because a large percentage of Administrators lied about their college backgrounds or credentials and doctored their transcripts. This was recently changed but the administration still refuses to go back and review people’s credentials because they know too well what would happen. They would have to fire a large percentage of their friends or family which are the one’s they try to keep. Try asking the Human Resources Department to provide you with proof of their administrator’s college degrees and qualifications and you’ll be in for a surprise. They’re all in cahoots. 4. Administrators accepting gifts from Contractors: Some administrators employed in the Facilities and Construction Management Department were accepting gifts given by Contractors for many years. In return, these same bureaucrats routinely pressured staff under their supervision to approve all sorts of financial documents including change orders for their preferred friends, these same Contractors. 5. Board Members pet projects: Board Members would routinely call administrators and request them to initiate pet projects. These projects got designed and eventually got scrapped because they were no longer feasible or someone simply changed their mind. I saw millions of dollars get wasted this way. There are too many examples to enumerate. If you have the time just go to the Records Division at the Facilities and Construction Management Department and you’ll find this information. Or ask to speak to former Project Managers. A post in the Daily Pulp once said: “look a little deeper and you may find a continuing conspiracy of protectionism, cronyism, collusion that transcends a period of 20 years or more at the Broward School Board”. I hope the examples above have shined some light on some of the irregularities I observed while working for the School Board. I tried bringing these problems to light while working there. Instead, I got my ass laid off last year and the dead wood is still working there. The cuts that took place and that are going to continue taking place at the School Board and in all other governmental areas are in my opinion needed. We are in a depression and a depression in an economy is like a hard freeze in the winter: it kills off the parasites.

• I hope for once Notter does not retaliate and target Sharon Graham who had the courage to speak for those of us who can't.

• Let's see all the committees Ms. Dinnen was or is on... Broward County Planning Council Florida School Boards Association (FSBA) Board of Directors Greater, Florida Consortium School Boards: (Previously South Florida Consortium of School Boards) Insurance Committee (remember Vista) Legislative Liaison – State Museum of Discovery Science Board of Trustees Oversight Committee (Now that is funny) Ethics training was provided to the School Board. Did you not attend?

• Notter does not jump for gossip and hearsay. I mean Ben Williams. I mean Notter.

• Save your tears for the FED's.

• Reduce the Board to 5 members, eliminate the building department including the arrested and convicted assistant CBO, utilize either county building inspectors or city inspectors with jurisdiction in the county or city where the project is being constructed, terminate Notter as this entire "boondoggle" was under his watch, make the superintendent's position an elected office with term limits, and cease and desist with the elimination of the position "boxes" of those who have the integrity and courage to openly discuss and criticize the organizations shortcomings.

• Dividethe district. This bleeding of taxpayers money has to stop, it has not produced any good results and every day we see the school Board in the front pages of papers across the Nation. Ms Dinnen should had been glad she has a wonderful advocate looking after taxpayers money, but no, instead she kicked her out of Audit commitee. Ms Dinnen , has an agenda that has not worked in thelast 30 years and has place USA studetns in the 35th place inthe world . hence, Ms Dinnen should be removed fromthe board, but before that she should explain to District 3 graduation rates, South Plantation football field cost and a mega cafeteria at Tropical elementary among others schools construction projects at a time taxpayers cannnot adford to redo their own kitchen !

• I went for a walk the other day and found a dead snake in the road. I went by the next day. The snake was still there and still dead. How long will we have to put up with the decomposing snakes in our Bored of High Comissioners doing what they want, creating schools for their children, selling our childrens' education to highest bidder, and then taking responsibility and then doing nothing about it? Too bad we don't have the UCMJ to hold these people accountable to. Oops ended in a proposition there. Brig time for everyone. We can name one of the wings in the Broward Correctional Facility: Board Row. Mr. Notter, please do the right thing and resign.

• 2 billion dollars in debt. Over built schools Empty Students seats Maureen, nothing more to say. Cry for the children not for yourself.

• Maureen Dinnen was advised of the political corruption going on in the School Board when I met her at the Hard Rock when the union threw a party to meet the candidates. I spoke with her at that time and within less than 2 minutes she was looking the other way. When Dr. Till proposed my termination based on false allegations and "poor performance evaluations" which the Board members refused to look at my actual personnel file which showed I had the highest of evaluations, Ms. Dinnen was in the minority when she voted against my termination. After a State of Florida Administrative Judge ruled I had done nothing wrong and put me back in my position as Senior Supervisor of Building Inspectors, Dinnen and the rest of the Board refused to do so, rather paid their contracted attorney $150,000 to appeal the Judge's decision twice and finally in October 2007 voted unanimously with the rest of the Board to fire me. Now she and Murray are saying that much of the Grand Jury report is gossip. I am certain just like the other witnesses who appeared before the Grand Jury there was documentation to support the witnesses statements. That has been my experience with the Grand Juries and the court systems when I filed a lawsuit against the School Board for whistleblowing, discrimination and harassment and when I defended myself against the false allegations made by staff members in the Building Department and Administrators. The School Board has been notorious for not having documents to substantiate their agenda decisions and not enforcing state statutes that require the District to keep documents for 7 years. .

• Al Lamberti will be on 105.9 tomorrow with Paul and Young Ron. Paul was hyping it today and is obviously on track to fluff Lambo and defend him on the superbowl ticket issue. I encourage the Pulp followers to call the station and pose questions about the real issues; i.e. he should have been more transparent and should have come clean. Instead he is going on a radio show with a host hell bent on defending the local sheriff. Ask about the Rothstein issue and how his 2nd in command has not been held accountable for helping Ponzi Scott leave the country. The station number is 877 210 5936. I say screw Paul, if he's gonna let this a hole use the airwaves to defend himself.

• You all are being so mean to my good friend Maureen. Maureen and I go way back to her union days. I am proud to say I have guided Maureen through her campaigns and because of me, she never had a real opponent. Maureen was so nice to always be on the host commitee for Barbi when she ran against that evil Republican Moritas in Dist 91. Thanks to Maureen, Barbi lost by only 14 points instead of more. Beware anyone running against my friend Maureen momma Stern and my boytoy Walsh are right behind her.

• Anyone that voted for the re-election any Board Members that were on this Board over the last 8 to 10 years, is a MORON! You deserve to get ripped off!

• Wow....I am sorry Dineen you are feeling the heat and sting from the grand jury report. Your campaign was filled with lies and you preyed on the children you were supposedly elected to help. Spare me your crocodile tears. On another topic, the picture of Gottlieb above shows her to have a smirk on her face while Nutters (Notter) is being berated. @Pulp - You should have a caption contest with each picture you place on your blog.

• Anybody who would engage in such a corny and disgraceful video such as the one put out by BECON and starring "The Boss" Notter and "Baby Doll" Bartleman should raise much concern about the leadership skills of these bunch of throwback clowns. NOTTER, GOTTLIEB, DINNEN, BARTLEMAN, et al, show us that you care about the CHILDREN AND RESIGN RIGHT NOW! Believe me that things will go on without the sloppy and criminal malfeasance that was the hallmark of your reign of terror.
