Scandal-Ridden Commissioner to Receive "Public Service" Award

• What a joke. How dare she receive an award! She is a corrupt person to the core and treats those who serve her with hostility and disdain. I sure as hell hope she doesn't get away with this, she sure acts like she already has.

• What is left out is that while LIeberman was President of the Florida Association of Counties, for which she is being honored, she was AWOL for most of the time. She wasn't working in Broward, so what makes you think she was working anywhere else. I am sure everyone was covering for her and doing her work. Maybe that should be investigated. What she really is, is someone who can raise money. So they are really honoring her for being a fund raiser for them.

• Most of us can see that a tremendous amount of information has been coming to light, giving investigative agencies enough to put many of the puzzle pieces together. Using a non-stop style of coverage to make reports about the corruption in Broward County has opened up the way to take down the criminal enterprise that had been sucking the life out of generations of us (together with our taxed dollars) and that had almost engulfed our entire county, after decades of failure of the local paper to record the ill-repute of governing officials & their lackeys. Currently, an alternative newsweekly (not operated like the former newspaper) has not given any slack to the corrupted, which seems to have been very helpful to investigative agencies and serves as a bright spot for the people. And, if that was not enough for the people, more opportunity was offered (which did NOT come from a feckless syndicate like the Sentinel). The people were offered a web site to visit and get to know the members of their community, by sharing information. So, as someone who reads this blog and the articles published in the Broward Palm Beach New Times, I extend compliments to the true author (not some silly award that would not be deserved & definitely not insincere praise). Thank you Bob Norman for giving people the space to tell their stories. This can be seen to, not only help investigative agencies, but, also assist the people in their understanding of the dismantling of the pervasive evil that had monopolized county & local areas of government. This is a genuine service, that is hard to place value. Let’s just go with the word used in one particular commercial -- PRICELESS.

• She was elected to be president of the Florida Association of Counties( one of the most powerful positions in the State)! I doubt she asked for that job so she must be good with the smoke and mirrors to keep getting rewarded. I have to give her a hand. By the way I did not realise she was under any sort of investigation by the State. I thought she gave testimony against her neighbor who then turned herself in to BSO. I could be wrong I have not followed Liebermans carreer much.

• Only in Browardtown can you receive a Excellence in Public Service Award while being investigated.

• Oh so now Comm.Lieberman is going to get another accolade under her belt. She should get an award for being biggest stool pigeon in regards to her throwing Mrs.Talabisco under the bus to save her own ass. Mystery solved as to where's she has been for the past few months. Stuck at the State Att. Office squelling on her collegues. Between her & the Chaits who is worse. They are all guilty. Lieberman thinks that by cooperating w/ the local Da she thinks she's all set. Don't forget the Feds dear. I am so sick of hearing that Comm.Lieberman is a victim(as if) in all of these Corruptions. I mean from the bototonical garden to her play to pay attitude is if not criminal in its self. go get the award and be proud that you are no better then the people you are ratting on. Or i'm sure Att/Comm Alu keeps her informed. Which if can be substanchiated she would (alu) be out of a job. You would be surprized about what I hear down at the Court House and not from the JAA blog either.

• Pulp. A few years back, you wrote about a naturalized citizen with a homestead property in Hallandale. His name was Pelecanos. The article confirmed the fact that he was fighting to save his waterfront home, after Mayor Joy Cooper had set her sights on it. I suppose that she was upset that a “foreigner” could live on her island, where she walked her little dogs to her content and enjoyment -- not to be shared with those she did not accept in her realm. What the City of Hallandale did to this man is the same action taken against Stuart Rado. They tried to litigate him to death. Tom Francis wrote some excellent articles about the corruption in the City of Hallandale too. However, the article about the takeover of a man’s rights and stealthy encroachment of cities like Hallandale in the surreptitious taking of a person’s homestead property brought to light that nothing in South Florida is safe from the commissars. Once they decide to appropriate, you might as well kiss your rights good bye.

• Unfortunately this is just yet another example of where politicians and bureaucrats are held to a lower standard than the regular citizens. Even the hint of criminal conduct in most private companies would get your but fired. This is what we get with large unaccountable government.
