She's Baaa-aaack (Again)

Seminole County Sheriff's Office

The most notorious soccer mom in Broward County history has been arrested again, this time in the Orlando area.

Georgia Roberts, the self-described "mindboggling enigma human train wreck" who made the news here in 2003 when she was charged with (and later acquitted of) stalking Channel 10 reporter Kristi Krueger, has again been charged with stalking. She was arrested this past November 13 and was booked into jail with the mug shot above. I am waiting for details on the case, but I can say the arrest isn't the least bit surprising.

Roberts told me in 2007 that she was finding new "projects" -- a term she used for her stalking victims. She became embroiled in a huge conflict with a married couple at that time after she claimed she had an affair with the husband. I'm not sure if the latest arrest is related to that debacle or not.

kruegerkristi.jpg
The mother of now-teenaged twins, Roberts was accused of following and harassing Krueger after meeting her at gymnastics lessons for their respective children. When Krueger didn't invite Roberts' daughter to her daughter's birthday party, it reached a boiling point, with an altercation at Silver Palms Elementary. Roberts was arrested the day of the party, which was held the same day her own daughter was to ride in the big Pines Day parade after she was named the city's "Little Miss Sweetheart Princess."

You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried.

When Roberts went to trial for the alleged Krueger stalking, Roberts represented herself, at times making a mockery of the courtroom. But she was apparently effective with the jury, which acquitted her of felony stalking and battery charges in 2003. The case, in fact, was weak from the beginning -- though there is no question that Roberts was harassing and following the newswoman.

As that case played itself out in the media, it was discovered that Roberts had many years before gunned down her high school's homecoming queen, Angela Puccetti, with a rifle. The shooting was ruled an accident, but many still wonder if it was intentional.

A solid chunk of my little book is dedicated to her wild story. You can also read here and here for articles on Roberts. I will update as soon as I get the new arrest report. Inside, read some of the as-yet-unpublished ramblings from Roberts circa 2007. Understand, this is a sad and disturbing tale that is strewn with human wreckage.

After her acquittal in 2003, Georgia, her husband, and her two children moved to the Orlando area. I didn't hear from her until 2007, when she contacted me and told me that she had an affair with a neighbor and that she was going to make him pay for it.

It was painfully obvious that Roberts was still as off-the-wall as ever. I kept notes in which she described the alleged affair, which was denied by the neighbor. "He's been giving me oral sex for two months," Roberts said at the time. "He was home working all day, and his eyes bulged out of his sockets every time he was near me. It was common knowledge he had the hots for me. It was more of a friendship than anything else. This lady he answers to [his wife] is a control-freak Nazi. I told her, 'You're too plain and too ordinary to be my next victim.' ... It was kiss, hug, oral sex, high school stuff... We were like kids, it was all fantasy stuff, like Bon Jovi, you know how I like Bon Jovi, Tommy and Gina."

Whether the affair was fictional or not, Roberts produced lurid details about it:

-- "He's got my underwear buried in the backyard of his house, with all the Celine Dion perfume," she said. "He buried it in the back of the woods behind his house so he would have a memento of me."

-- "[His wife] said he sweats, and I'm thinking, 'I know he sweats, he sweats into my mouth in his garage.'"

-- "He wanted me to worship him as the ideal suburban guy, with the [children] and a minivan. The guy ejaculates on his family room couch, all right? And two hours later, he's taking his wife out while my lips are still sore from sucking his thing."

This stuff would actually be humorous if Georgia didn't wreck lives. She found out everything about the family, followed them around, and when they moved, she planned to move into the same neighborhood with them. It's flat-out chilling. I asked her why she was targeting the man and his wife, whether the affair happened or not. What was the point?

"Why would he have to feel my wrath?" she asked rhetorically. "Because I went to tell his wife about it, and he denied it. He's playing with fire; he's going to get burned."

I also heard from the couple at the time; there were restraining orders filed, etc. It was a true horror story, but it really didn't rise to the level of news. On top of that, dredging it up would only hurt the family even more. So I just told her that she was sick and that her behavior was repulsive and that she needed to stop doing it. She replied with the following email:

I am going to do the RIGHT THING -- THE DECENT THING  & STOP MY DESTRUCTIVE TAUNTING BEHAVIOR.  I'm going to use all my energy to get better; I need the right medication & I need to follow-through w/ the treatment. I've been in denial, shifting blaming others my entire life -- no more.

I have beautiful, healthy kids, straight-A students, &  more importantly  kind, compassionate, unselfish kids... I am going to start appreciating & TREASURING that. ...

Best regards,
Georgia

Now flash-forward to news about her arrest. Who knows what kind of new human damage Georgia has wrought.

Bob Norman, please do not stop writing about ordinary people and those with no voice. While most articles written about ordinary people won’t bring you awards & accolades (like those that you write, about our corrupt local politicians & the racketeering enterprises rampant in South Florida), such low-key articles about the common man should bring satisfaction, knowing that your work has brought a voice to those with little to no hope to be heard. I believe that your dedication to this story about a woman who appears to have the nature of a true psychopath will work towards an end filled with justice, for each and every one of those who suffered at her hand. This could not have been accomplished without the service that you provide, when choosing stories that need to be told. I commend you for your effort in bringing to light that which has been hidden for so long -- the real circumstances surrounding the killing of Angela Puccetti, and I must tell you that I believe that the story that you have told has exposed the true character of Georgia Roberts and could have possibly saved others from the fate suffered by Angela Puccetti.

Georgia is such a reprehensible character (with no real feelings of compassion) that, for six months, she was able to take advantage of the parents of the girl whom she had killed with a shotgun blast to her head. Do you realize that it does not matter to Georgia Roberts whom she victimizes, and she is able to do so easily? After killing Angela, Georgia actually took advantage of their grief and moved in with the Puccettis, and the Puccettis only cut the ties of this clinging woman when they finally tired of the constant court activity and the several voices Georgia used to spout her diatribe. (Also, after opening their home to Georgia Roberts, who the Puccettis had a suspicion may have deliberately killed their daughter, the mother of the slain young woman stated that she believed that Georgia would have made an excellent lawyer, if she had used her time to go to law school -- so, maybe you can think about Melissa Lewis & remember that when you write about the upcoming sentencing hearing for Debra Villegas, whose time was also spent, in a sociopathic fashion, scamming her friends & associates.)

Let me explain further why I feel so strongly about this particular matter. The article, written February 8, 2011, titled “Alleged Suburban Stalking Mom Sent Stripper to Victim’s House,” confirms suspicions that the activity (in Florida) of Georgia Roberts would continue & would escalate (after she had safely removed herself from a jurisdiction of one of her victims, Kristi Krueger), except the activity would just be directed at another available innocent person (of whom Georgia had taken offense). From my comment, posted yesterday, in the first article you reported (which is this one), you can see that I had used the information provided in that article (and a few pieces of other material) to try to decipher the method of operation of this particular deranged woman when trying to get-back at any person whom she believes has offended her. I felt this had to be done, because this woman’s actions can end up harming one or more persons, which could be in a style that has already occurred at this woman’s hands. The first article published in the New Times, about Georgia Roberts, (over 7-years ago) October 9, 2003, titled “Georgia Got a Gun,” gave details about the death of a young, attractive college student going after a degree in journalism (to be a news-broadcaster, like Broward/Miami-Dade County’s Kristi Krueger, according to the dead woman’s mother). The information in that article was enough to make you see that Georgia’s knowledge of the system & her understanding of mental health issues assisted this woman in avoiding a trial for a charge of murder (in the first degree).

This first article could be related to the subsequent articles about accusations of stalking made against Georgia Roberts. In that first 2003 article, it was reported that Georgia had been accused by her former room-mate as stalking her for 4-years, threatening her life (with statements such as “I killed the wrong person” and posting hundreds of photocopies of her photographs (with epithets like “thief” or “murderer”) in the hallway of her condo, the bushes around her condo, and the cars of the people who lived at the condo. Georgia had already skated through a murder charge, by implicating herself enough that a charge had to be made in the case, which would be a simple reckless conduct for the shooting (engendering a mere 1-year probationary period). (Whether this charge would negate any attempt to reopen the case to charge Georgia with the murder of the slain young woman, without disturbing the rule on double jeopardy must be looked into, by those who believe that there is now enough evidence to take it to court.) Additionally, Georgia was able to manipulate the news story through what appeared to be a (trading-favors) friendship that she had struck up with a local (ethically-challenged) reporter, who slanted the story to correspond with what had been stated by Georgia. This story, published on July 6, 1988, would help Georgia, when she filed a battery charge against the former room-mate on November 1, 1988.

The former room-mate still says that she had not seen Georgia on the date in question and most certainly had never broken her nose. So, if Georgia’s nose had been broken, how did it happen and what would be the real particulars involving the incident that brought about an arrest and taxpayers paying for the prosecution of the former room-mate (although the charges were eventually dropped)? Georgia then brought suit (twice) against the former room-mate for malicious prosecution & defamation. There seems to have been a letter, supposedly mailed to Georgia, but no word on who sent the pasted message, as the former room-mate wanted the harassment to end and settled the lawsuit with a written letter of apology, saying that she was leaving the State. Just imagine that -- you are forced to leave your own State to get away from a person who has been maliciously stalking you, and the authorities, with their hands tied, have on occasion actually gone after you on bogus charges. That former room-mate must have lived through H*LL.

Wayne Black would eventually find many of the missing pieces to the puzzle after he had been hired by the family of Kristi Krueger, when this local channel 10 news broadcaster felt she was being tormented by Georgia Roberts (in a similar fashion as had occurred to Georgia’s former room-mate in Chicago. Apparently, this former Miami-Dade police officer believes that Georgia deliberately pulled the trigger of the shotgun (on Angela Puccetti) in a pique of jealousy over what she may have fashioned in her mind to be a rival for the affections of a young man. Wayne Black has tried to interest the local police agency around Chicago into reopening the case, although there could be complications under the double jeopardy rule. It would depend on how the 1-year probation came about. If the charge would not have been directly linked to the killing, a murder charge can be brought at any date. Even if unsuccessful in the reopening, with thoughts of the possibility of Georgia Roberts continuing to stalk others, Wayne Black may have diminished the terror for future victims. That is due to the fact that Wayne Black actually has brought out a response that has very seldom been seen in Georgia Roberts, which response has a partial composition of fear -- fear of losing the parental rights to her children (who are twins born, in 1995, of the union between Georgia and that reporter that had allowed himself to be manipulated (because of his passion for her) to publish that misleading story in the local paper to the liking of his paramour, but to the detriment of the former room-mate).

Georgia Roberts may also be manipulating others, in the way that her mental health could be portrayed in the criminal justice system, in order to get away with her crimes. She has attacked the original diagnosis made by the psychiatrist she saw after the killing of Angela. She is quick to point out the fact that she knows that he is a quack, since she says that his license had been suspended for malpractice, in 1999 (after being hit with a flurry of malpractice lawsuits). Georgia seems to now believe that the diagnosis of a multiple personality disorder seems to be a figment of this psychiatrist’s vivid imagination. Moreover, Georgia Roberts portrays any diagnosis made by the psychiatrist as deeply troubling. On the other hand, Georgia Roberts (known by her overnight name change of Georgia Forbes, had either self-diagnosed herself or) believed in the psychiatrist’s diagnosis, in 1992, with just such a multiple personality disorder, after she had experienced some complications with a contract she entered into with a former boyfriend (that would compensate her for the pain and suffering she had endured in that relationship). She must have found out that she could have reached a better deal, and tried to make the court declare the contract invalid because she says that when she signed the contract, she was in a dissociative state and not herself. What appears to be a woman that is a pathological liar actually filed this court document that contained the declaration “When Georgia Forbes is in a dissociative state, she has NO RECOLLECTION of events because she is in the form of another personality”, further declaring that the personalities “pride themselves as unique individuals ‘outside’ of Forbes” (the name she had given to herself, in a flight of fancy). And, like the name change, she has altered her status depending on the crime & the jurisdiction. The story in the last article ended with spontaneous utterances, with one admission on her mental health status, which was that she had bipolar disorder, meaning “I can’t help what I do.”

The story in the first article ends in 1998, with Georgia Roberts sailing into the sunset with yet another boyfriend who brought her to Pembroke Pines. This is after the lawsuits (for pain and suffering) had finally ended that had been brought against her former room-mate. This is after the dispute with a person identified as a boyfriend that had lead to court action (for pain and suffering), where a contract had been signed, but Georgia had tried to renegotiate based on her self-described multiple personality disorder. This was after she had sued the hospital for malpractice (for pain and suffering) after her twins were delivered at that particular hospital. This is after she had charged her newspaper journalist boyfriend (who had fathered Georgia’s twins in 1995) with date-rape (which was dropped) and a slew of battery and property crimes that she said occurred because of his drunken rages. When, she spoke to Bob Norman, she told him that she had raised her twins on her own. So, it seems that she carried a self-induced belief that almost every one in her life had failed her because of their rages, drunkenness, criminal acts, or other weaknesses she had spotted, while she had to ever-so-bravely persevere on her own to take care of herself and take care of her children, as the one solace they could depend on.

In the October 16, 2003 article, titled “Georgia in the Pines,” Bob Norman reported (on page 2) how an event got out of hand in Pembroke Pines (when Roberts yelled & screamed at the event coordinators of Bunny Brunch 2000, and threw donuts & a box of bagels at them, when told she could not take the food home). When addressing Pines Day, it was reported “The victory emboldened Roberts and confirmed her suspicion that her twins were special, yet her conflicts only worsened. She says the scenes did no damage to her kids’ psyches. “The confrontations were habitual, so the kids really didn’t know I was making a scene,” Roberts explains.” The article continued, when speaking of another event in Pembroke Pines (called Snowfest 2000), where this woman became enraged when she was not permitted to skip to the front of the line. The quote is “My child should be in the f-ing front,” to which the response of the city employee and possible repercussion of Georgia Roberts was described as “Novo told Roberts to wait like everyone else, which only intensified the profane rant.”

Later, the Pembroke Pines special events coordinator, Frances Novo, would recount in a deposition “For Roberts, enjoying her kids’ lives became a veritable blood sport. At the events, she would fight with other mothers and officials, often in a bid to get to the front table with the mayor and other dignitaries. He was especially quoted as saying “She would be my only mother I would fear at events.” Likewise, the description of the testimony in the deposition of the city’s soccer program coordinator, Renee Nunez, was that “She remembered that Roberts once “snatched [Kyle] and just, like, forced him to the ground like a spike” while posing the boy for a picture on the field.” Bob Norman then wrote about the furnished explanation, which was that “Roberts admits that she “manhandles” her kids at times but says she makes up for it with love. “Sometimes I’m stern and I’m pushy and I’m verbally aggressive with my children,” she says. “But I know they know I love them... Those kids adore me; they worship me.” (There are hints of the 1981 film Mommy Dearest with this one, and I wonder if this is what she worries about from Wayne Black -- a possible call to Child Protection Services, with documented proof and sworn testimony already provided in the case?)

In the second article can be found certain similarities that can be compared to those attributes of the victim that had been killed in the earlier Chicago incident -- discussing the harassment & threats made to intimidate a strikingly beautiful blonde, loved by her intact family, beloved by her friends, identified by Georgia with a cheerleader ability, who became a news-journalist, who is local channel 10’s Kristi Krueger, in a similar fashion as portrayed in the first article that demonstrated stalking treatment towards a third party and a separate event that had ended up being the killing of a strikingly beautiful young lady with blonde streaks in her hair, loved by her intact family, beloved by her friends, a former cheerleader, who was studying for a career as a news-journalist (when killed by Georgia pulling the trigger on her newly purchased shotgun). On page 6, Georgia Roberts, in her frenetic style, establishes a reason for her sense of entitlement & her mission for her children, ending “My kids are so wonderful -- they get along with everybody,” she says. “My daughter scored 138 for IQ. She has a photographic memory like mine. My kid is smart like I am.”

However, it is not that apparent that Georgia Roberts is putting that much thought into her children in the third article written (on February 8, 2011) by Bob Norman for New Times, titled “Alleged Suburban Stalking Mom Sent Stripper to Victims’ House.” Like the run-ins with Kristi Krueger (addressed in the second article), Georgia Roberts has repeated her pattern. She haunts a Publix Supermarket where the latest victim shops for groceries in the same exact fashion as described by Kristi Krueger, and she stations herself at school functions, in the same bizarre manner as experienced by Kristi Krueger. Then again, it seems that the mania has escalated, as Georgia Roberts has now started to follow her latest victim, by packing up and moving into homes close to her latest victim (after they move to try to get away from her), no matter where they move to get away from such a frightening character. The latest victim can really feel the fear for her family, that has been put in jeopardy, as Georgia Roberts has even interfered in their church routine. She stops at nothing and takes advantage of any vehicle to contact the family, by sending them e-mails and text messages. And, she has plagued the family with dozens of unwanted phone calls.

This ongoing onslaught of harassment & intimidation has occurred for at least a three year period of time (as can be proven by a video capture of a stripper sent by Georgia to the family residence of her victims, on March 2008 -- which irrationally brought about the filing of an injunction by Georgia when it was she who claimed to be put in fear). In addition, Georgia Roberts has also sued the family for $300,000, for damages for pain and suffering, because she believes that she is the one that is the victim. She says that she has been victimized because of her allegation that the husband and father of the latest stalking victims had allegedly permitted Georgia to a little Monica Lewinsky participation in a certain type of sexual favor.

This is similar to her thoughts of her teenage romance when she became enthralled with a boy (even though she was preoccupied with her father’s version of “to kako”). She remembered him telling her he loved her, as she recalled saying she loved him back. One time, in the mind of Georgia Roberts, she held a belief that this young boy was in love with her because, for months, she would regularly meet him in the alley behind her house, where they would kiss & “he would also feel her up.” She believed these meetings to be dates. She admits to her thoughts, at that time, of being those of love & marriage. But they weren’t. And neither is what she believes has happened with the latest person she wants to claim as her own.

I just read the information posted by All That Glitters, in reply to WhiskeyForMyMenBeerForMyHorses, about the board of the Riverwalk Trust in downtown Fort Lauderdale. That winnowing of the team is a good start. However, the removal of former city commissioner Cindi Hutchinson, after her arrest (that involves accusations of certain illegitimate mishandling of moneys), is not enough. (Knowing that a Mutual Benefits coupling of Ken Keechl & Michael McNerney were on that board,) there should be an immediate accounting of all moneys for which the Riverwalk Trust has or had responsibility. There are fiduciary obligations here. Those reputable citizens remaining on this board (with oversight of the Riverwalk Trust) should demand an accounting of each & every dollar or like-kind contribution, for (at least) the last three years (to make sure that a money laundering scheme was not operating out of this organization or that moneys had not gone missing or had not been misspent or misappropriated).

Good job Glitters for staying on top of that one and promptly notifying the board of its duties and responsibilities (and jumping all over us to get off our duffs and properly respond to the dilemma caused by the arrest of the former commissioner & crony).

It appears that Georgia Roberts is one very sick, possibly hopelessly deranged person. Did you read the October 9, 2003 article, titled “Georgia Got a Gun,” (at the first hyperlink)? Would that be multiple personality disorder (Dissociative Identity Disorder), borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, or other related matter -- or is this woman a complete psychopath that can manipulate the system and use the specter of these illnesses for actions that they can excuse? Although I am not quite sure that there is enough information, the description given by one of the people most affected can be made to fit with multiple personality disorder (DID). On page 6 of the article, Mary Puccetti, the mother of the young lady who was shot in the head by Georgia Roberts, said (about the Sybil-like, 3 faces of eve creature that got away with the killing of her daughter) “She would pretend to be one person and then another person, and it was getting on my nerves. One was a little girl’s voice, one was a mean woman, one was real nice, one was kind of ditzy... it was crazy.”

There were some hints in that October 9, 2003 article, of what might be perceived to be wrong with the personality & person of Georgia Roberts. If you think about it, this type of material could generate a Hollywood tale -- akin to The Three Faces of Eve (with Joanne Woodward in the 1957 theatrical release), or Sybil (with Sally Field portraying the character in the 1976 made-for-television production). Who knows? All That Glitters is on the money with her take that this story should be scripted to be presented (as a movie) to some made-for-TV people (or theater-movie companies). It has the build-up for the demented character. In both (7-page) articles, Bob Norman reveals that there is more documented (researched) material available for a sellable deal. You have to know that there just aren’t that many good scripts for a woman in the starring role, and if, a script can be found, it is hard to find one that perfectly highlights the female lead. When you have a great script, you can find great talent to do the story. The script that worked towards Joanne Woodward’s 1957 Academy Award, for best actress for The Three Faces of Eve, was exceptional. Sally Field’s 1977 Emmy for outstanding lead actress, in the 1976 NBC mini-series, that has since been converted to a full movie, titled, like the mini-series, Sybil, also had exceptional writing. (Focused on a different mental disorder,) the great script for Monster, about the Florida serial killer, Aileen Wuornos, helped Charlize Theron gather an Academy Award, in 2003, for best actress.

On page 1 of the article, Georgia Roberts self-describes herself as “When I was growing up, I knew I was different.” On page 2 of the article, Georgia Roberts gives details of her sordid life as “My father said he was going to break my legs . . . We know what you’ve been doing; everybody knows what you’ve been doing,” and Bob Norman gave the further detail that “She took on the role of mother, caring for her overbearing papa and younger siblings. To this day, Georgia, a woman prone to Freudian slips, almost always refers to her father, who speaks little English and still lives in the same house in Chicago, as her “husband” before correcting herself. She tried out to be a majorette, but after only two weeks of practice, her father made her quit. She had too many household duties for such kid stuff. Her social life was largely confined.” Yes, this woman would accidentally call her father “her husband,” when speaking of her home life after her mother passed (leaving a teenage Georgia Roberts as the woman-of-the-house). And, after seemingly experiencing no remnants of childhood after the death of her mother, Georgia Roberts admits to a desperate need, on page 7 of the article, (of her life’s end), which is “I do live vicariously through my children.”

There did seem to be a (romanticized) picture of involvement with one other man besides the father of Georgia Roberts. Bob Norman’s article, “Georgia Got a Gun,” details what appears to be a relationship that is more one of a fatal attraction (where there seems to be some form of interaction like that of the spurned lover to her love interest & his absolute commitment to his true love, which committed love interest was not a person like the severely damaged character portrayed by Glen Close, in the 1987 film Fatal Attraction). Additionally, the 1992 Bridget Fonda cult-classic “Single White Female” comes to mind, as the story progresses a relationship between Georgia Roberts and the single white female, into which she seems to be transforming. The reason for her nature may be embedded in the harsh reality, of living in America, which is that you may not be destined for important things or a luxurious lifestyle, if you have had the bad fortune to have come from the wrong side of the tracks. Bob Norman reported “Georgia’s life has been largely consumed by an unsuccessful -- and often outrageous -- struggle to break into the upper reaches of American life.” From this little detail, you become aware that Georgia Roberts knows that the scales have been weighted against her. She is smart enough to know she is not from a family with connections. They had lived a meager existence, made all the more miserable from the transformation in her life from energetic student to caretaker of her family, which would include her father, a man she would often speak of in a Freudian slip, as “her husband.”

No matter how smart or overachieving, she would not be able to be invited to special academies or functions that were restricted to children of parents who had already attended (such as that reported on in an earlier Bob Norman article about the lucrative entitlements of position, discussing a privileged academy invite for a sheriff’s son). Her family did not come from positions of power, wealth, or influence in the class-conscience society that had become America. She was not even born in the United States. No one would bend the rules for her -- so, she had to bend them herself, in the only way that she could. She would become the embodiment of success in any way that would complement the path she chose, so that her children would never have to live or relive the life that she had survived. Her path was chosen. She put herself in control of her own destiny, in the way that she believed would accomplish her desires and in a way known to work. And, from the details of both Bob Norman’s articles, it seems that this woman had committed herself, as so many that have chosen that same path of greedy self-gain with no thought towards the harm done to others. One such local female villain, Debra Villegas, currently awaits sentencing in a federal court for her misdeeds with Scott Rothstein, that she originally tried to pass off as innocent mistakes made because of the bad people with whom she associated, thinking that the people are as deaf, dumb, and blind as our State Attorney & many of our commissioners to the criminality practiced while achieving her vaulted position of power. Regardless, it did not work to her advantage, and the manipulation of the system (at least for her plotting & conniving ways) is finally reaching its end.

In this newest story presented by Bob Norman, that is a continuation of the foibles of an utterly deranged, very dangerous person, a picture is slowly being painted that may reveal the details of a killing and put to rest the minds of those innocent individuals who have suffered from the death of their loved one. While Bob Norman discovers even more relative information, some body should start writing the screenplay on the matter. This would make for a blockbuster movie. So -- exactly what are the details?

The October 9, 2003 article, titled “Georgia Got a Gun,” identified the only boy Georgia Roberts ever kissed or cared for had begun dating Angela Puccetti, while they were still in high school. So, Georgia Roberts became enraged and may have spread rumors and did fight (including with fists) with her enemy, Angela. A contradiction of Georgia Robert’s life, after high school graduation, for all the stories about her domineering father (who she would slip and call “her husband”), and what had been spoken of as deprivation, was that Georgia owned a car that she was able to use to go out partying (without her father acting in a punishing manner against the behavior, which included drunkenness). At that time Georgia acted as though she had befriended the girl she had looked at, in high school, as her enemy and boyfriend stealer, Angela, and she got Angela a job at the same business where she worked. They both went to college -- Angela to study for a broadcasting career, and Georgia to study psychology. Nevertheless, there were problems in Georgia’s life, in that Angela’s friends did not like Georgia, and Georgia’s father had remarried a much younger woman. So, Georgia moved out of the house, and got a room-mate, who would later say about Georgia that she would wear the room-mate’s clothes (including personal items) and had eerily colored & styled her hair in imitation of the room-mate. When describing the bizarre peculiarities of Georgia Roberts to other people, this former room-mate stated “she wants a new family so badly that she just pushes herself into people’s lives and [then] she wants to take them over. She acts like them, she dresses like them, everything.”

Some 4-months after moving in together, the room-mate moved out. At that time, Georgia Roberts (alluding to have spoken of a desire to shoot the room-mate, but using the room-mate’s older 21-year old sister to co-sign for a gun license) bought a shotgun. Georgia said that she changed the locks on her apartment, and that after she had picked up her new shotgun from Sportmart on January 16, 1986, (from a salesman who testified that Georgia was nervous & impatient) that she took the shotgun home, loaded it, pumped it, clicked off the safety, and placed it under her bed. Although Georgia supposedly wanted to confront the room-mate, she purportedly asked Angela to stay at the apartment on the day of the shotgun purchase. (This does not match the ever-changing story, that now is about Georgia buying the shotgun for the “fun” of it, wherein she had discussed such a purchase before the room-mate troubles.) That night, when Georgia Roberts arrived at her apartment (and says that Angela was already there and had packed-up her books to leave) she says that she unexplainably pointed the shotgun at Angela’s head and pulled the trigger. The story of Angela’s presence in the apartment seems odd. And, the story following the poor excuse for Angela’s presence in the apartment (to study) seems more out of the ordinary, when evidence shows that (for an unknown reason) Angela was sitting (or probably more like lying) on a bed in a bedroom.

Georgia explains the situation as one where Angela had stayed at the apartment at the behest of Georgia. However, Georgia relates another dimension to the story, which is that later that evening, at 10:00 PM, she returned to the apartment, where she found Angela, with her books packed. You must assume, that Angela had arrived at the apartment earlier in the day. Georgia does not explain how Angela got into the apartment without keys to the new locks that had recently been installed by Georgia, presumably to keep out her former room-mate, or, if Georgia had let her in, whether she would have been able to get out, if the locks were dead bolts. Georgia says that she took Angela into the bedroom where she planned on showing her the brand new shotgun, she described as her new shiny, black toy. She does not reveal how she would have removed the gun from underneath the bed (where she had said that, earlier in the day, she had placed the gun after buying it, leaving the apartment, then returning). Angela was supposedly sitting at the foot of the bed, with Georgia standing over her, when Georgia pointed the shotgun directly at Angela’s head and squeezed the trigger.

The evidence does show that (when she was shot) Angela’s body was lying on her back in the bed, and the gaping wound dripped (or leaked) blood over the mattress (although the blood was not described as red from a living body, but deep brown from a body more lifeless). Also documented, in police reports, was the fact that blood & brain matter had been sprayed on the wall and ceiling, scalp & hair blown onto the floor, and a piece of Angela’s skull landed in another part of the room. There was no hint of how close Georgia was to Angela when she fired at her. Whether an inconsistency, Georgia Roberts told the officers on the scene that she ostensibly fell onto Angela’s lifeless body before she dropped the gun and ran screaming into the hallway, at which time a neighbor called 9-1-1. Georgia now denies contact with the body, after the pellets took off the top off Angela’s skull, when her brains were blown out.

When the police started their investigation, by bringing Georgia to the Chicago Police station, Georgia requested a detective call the former boyfriend of Georgia who was the current boyfriend of Angela, in order to tell him about the death. Afterwards, even though Georgia signed herself into a mental health unit of a local hospital upon leaving the police station, she could still make phone calls, which she did. One such call was to the former room-mate, which the room-mate has said that Georgia threatened to kill her in the same way that she had killed Angela. Moreover, Georgia had confessed to how the killing had occurred, which was supposedly that Angela had been spinning around the room when her facial features had changed, making Georgia mad enough to kill her. This did not coincide with the story that Angela was seated at the foot of the bed. The story would change to fit whomever she was speaking with about the killing of Angela.

Georgia Roberts took the opportunity to get involved with every person in Angela’s life. She called both Angela’s mother and the mother of her boyfriend. Four days after the killing, Georgia was told that she was home free. There would be no charges for the accidental death. When she was released from the mental ward, on January 28, 1986, with no charges brought, she sought out Angela’s boyfriend. She found him and offered to kill him, after which she told him that she would kill herself. The boyfriend has given statements that Georgia Roberts said that she had had a dream about what she should do. She had admitted to the boyfriend that she felt forced into pulling the trigger to kill Angela. Georgia has said that she wanted to get a reaction from the boyfriend, and that she was still confused from Angela’s death, for which she felt responsible (although she publicly blamed the former room-mate every chance she got for Angela’s death). In addition, a psychiatrist was told many of these stories, and much more, by Georgia, and he had diagnosed her as suffering from multiple personality disorder (sometime in early 1986, which would have been 10-years after the made-for-T.V. Sybil production had first aired). Georgia had identified her three personalities as the same type that had been documented in the televised, award winning movie, that had been shown as a two-part mini-series. And Georgia was known to watch T.V., explaining to the police the television shows that she had watched that made her feel that she understood guns -- shows such as Dallas.

From her conversations with the psychiatrist, you can see that Georgia had been able to instantly understand her three separate personalities, which she could miraculously identify by their traits, and which she had named for their characteristics (which she understood all too well, without ever having seen a professional to bring out the disorder, other than after the fact). At the time that Georgia was released, the nation was in mourning over the loss of several of our astronauts in the Challenger space shuttle explosion (on January 28, 1986). So, it is possible that the psychiatrist, the police, and others could have been manipulated by a person with much cunning. It seems that the patient, herself, knew enough of the little-understood multiple personality disorder in order to manipulate the setting. It does seem now that she was not suffering such a disorder, and, if treated, the treatment could have been more successful in understanding how to best care for a sociopath with deviant character or possible psychopath, but a definite pathological liar.

The plot line in this story begs the material to be developed into a movie. MAYBE JUSTICE WILL BE DONE. Maybe Georgia Roberts can somehow assist in the development, and make enough money to get the help & medication that she seems to so desperately need, if she indeed wants to be like the majority of people, who want to live with their children in a safe, sound, and secure society.

The articles that Bob Norman wrote about this woman are chilling. So, now, where’s the screenplay, in the same vein?

Hey-- that hideous mugshot was taken just after a root canal, and an illegal arrest for misdemeanor (simple stalking) without a warrant, contrary to the 4th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Even stalkers have rights!! LOL :)

You should see how UGLY the wife of the guy I had the affair with is. (("Mr. & Mrs. Anonymous Baileys", for now)) She, "Mrs. Jane-Doe-Bailey" is seriously plain-jane-UGLY unattractive at any given day, any given time. In that photo, I was just disheveled in that mugshot, and had just had a root canal just before being illegally arrested for a misdemeanor. Relax.

OMG. R U my stalker, or my shrink, or both?? You must have typist's cramp by now. You write more than me!!

U R so funny!! I just loved your amateur psychology and crime-solving hypothesis. Too bad you can't prove any of your bogus theories. There's nothing to solve. Next!! CASE CLOSED!! But if you need assurances as to the tragic accident, talk to the dead girl's mother, Mary-- who's a nurse, and has dealt with "psycho patients" and has even wrapped dead bodies as a nurse. I still talk to the dead girl's mother all the time; we remain close, and that is a fact :) She/ Mary knew of the affair as it was ongoing, blow-by-blow ((no pun intended)) as it unfolded real-time when we were next-door neighbors and he was borrowing more than a cup of sugar. She/ the dead girl's mother was my confidante and she blames HIM, and knows that he was a creep to take advantage of a fragile, bi[polar woman like me w/ 12-yr.-old twins at home for the summertime...shame on him! He got what he deserved via my wrath for his DENY, DENY, DENY. What I did to him ((and his nosey, sanctimonious wifey #2 who's "the pot calling the kettle black" in that SHE had an affair with him, too, a workplace affair when he was someone else's husband)) what I did to him hounding him for three years was a lesson to him that I cannot get away from my PAST and I did not let him get away from his PAST ((as a cheating husband)) and his mistakes. Double jeopardy has attached on the misdemeanor stalking. I've already pleaded guilty to misdemeanor stalking. It's equivalent to misdemeanor battery. The terms: probation...a walk-in-the-park. And, my Mental Health Evaluation reports states that I do NOT need counseling! See!! it's all good!! :)

I usually agree with you, jad, and always am awed by your patient dedication to laying out the facts in a situation, with all their complications, ambiguities, and outright contradictions. When it comes to Georgia Roberts, though, I think you're missing something. This is a person to whom any layman can apply descriptors like deranged and psychopath, confident that mental health professionals would agree. So it seems almost beside the point to bring out additional instances of disturbed and disturbing behavior.

Here is a possibility you may have intentionally omitted that nevertheless comes to mind: that GR is evil in the philosophical/religious sense. Were this the case, observers could focus on the deeply, intentionally hurtful acts the woman has done without distractions from throw-away episodes like the shredded wheat in Publix, which aren't quite barking mad but, rather, may represent discharges, analogous to sneezes, say, of malevolence from a person continually in that state.

It does seem strange that someone like this hasn't been put away, especially since a jury had a chance to perform this public service. But what exactly could be done? A restraining order would be useless. Baker Acting would only give GR a chance to hone her conning skills and, later, to maintain that she'd been harassed. What else is there, except to keep out of her way as she strews her path with incidents perhaps designed to bolster an insanity defense and continues to hurt people? This isn't a satisfactory answer, but it doesn't look like our present system offers an effective direct approach.

Hillary Swank, Sandra Bullock or Parker Posey can play me. Bob Norman and I discussed it 3 years ago as to a movie / screenplay. In fact, i had a book offer/ movie offer not too long ago, but the $$ terms were not right.

By the way, I have $$. I paid all-cash for my house, and I do have $100,000 sitting in the bank. That is verifiable fact.

There should be a movie, because I've led a unique life. The fact is that in the 15 years of living in Florida, I have only 2 times, a decade apart: in 2001 and in 2010, the latest being for a misdemeanor. Simple stalking = harassment; it's not such a big deal. I've never even been in a police report in the last ten years-- no drugs, no DUI, nothing. You guys exaggerate my escapades, but I do agree that I have led a unique and paradoxical tsunami-style life, and if you get Hillary Swank/ Sandra Bullock & Charlie Sheen together for a movie, it's a GO - script approved by Georgia Roberts!!

Bob wrote an asshole piece that the teaparty was akin to a Muslin Terrorist organization. He did not realize that they were just people pissed off at all the corruption in government. He thought all his followers were a'holes psuedo intellectual elitist liberals like Christy, Model Citizen and Virgil so they all left for the most part. Now his audience that he thought was his left because he is just another red diaper doper baby reporting shit. So thanks Bob Norman for destroying any ground swell. I actually used to look forward to reading his articles now he killed it....Why Bob Why? Why destroy what you did? Afraid of success or just a sado-maschocist?

I've been making fun of the Tea Party for a long time so that was nothing new. But the post you're talking about didn't compare the Tea Party to a terrorist organization, but to an Islamist organization. It was about the separation of church and state.

That was an interesting link. Not to be nit-picky or anything of the sort (heaven forfend!) ... but if someone is tracking "likes", wouldn't it be more meaningful to have likes in proportion to posts, or some other ratio that gives it a context? I don't know Yaz, is there much to say about it? The county wrongfully arrested activist-lawyer Brenda Chalifour for speaking her mind at a public meeting on airport expansion and is now settling with her for $20,000. While Chalifour and Stacy Ritter are nemeses, it was since-imprisoned Joe Eggelletion who ordered her removed from the meeting.

By the way, speaking of the Tea Party and the separation of church and state, Rick Scott announced plans to cut up the classroom budget and privatize socialize services in a Baptist church before a Tea Party crowd.

I'd never heard it before, red diaper doper baby. Looked it up and according to the urban dictionary it's defined as "The children of leftist intellectual baby boomers, raised from birth on Marxism and a drug tolerant environment, and now in places of political and intellectual influence." Which is pretty much what I thought it meant.
