Judges Go After Slacker Clothes, Banning Exposed Underwear, Shower Caps, and Slippers

While baggy pants and wife beater-style tank tops have long been frowned upon by judges across South Florida, the state continues to lack any formal courtroom dress code.
But that may change now that some
local area courts have started taking action against those who take casual too far.
The inappropriate attire is most prevalent in traffic and small claims courts, according to the Sun Sentinel. Judges are seeing more people showing up in some pretty ridiculous stuff -- including one woman in Fort Lauderdale who wore curlers and bedroom slippers.
Bottom line: if the judge can see what you look like when you get out of the shower, or can tell what brand of underwear you have on, he probably won't want to see -- or hear -- your case.
