Oakland Park Chihuahua Is Not the Only Victim of Bestiality in South Florida

​An Oakland park man took the phrase "doggie style" a little too seriously after being arrested late last week for sexually assaulting his roommate's dog. 

Police took Tomas Bautista into custody Thursday on third-degree felony charges of animal cruelty, the Sun-Sentinel reported. According to Broward County Sheriff Office police records, Bautista's roommate said he came home drunk that evening. Rather than go to bed, Bautista went outside -- and that's where his roommate caught the 40-year-old with his pants down after allegedly molesting Mimi, the roommate's Chihuahua-mix.

Sadly, Mimi isn't the only victim of bestiality in South Florida. To date, Pet-Abuse.com, a New York-based group dedicated to increasing public awareness on animal cruelty, has recorded a total of 18 cases of sexually assaulted animals documented statewide -- three of which occurred last year. 

Of those cases, the most recent was reported this past November when a Hollywood man allegedly used his fingers to anally penetrate his dog.
