Rick Scott Isn't a Wingnut; He's Just Nutty

• Excuse me, the then Senator Obama got rid of guns in Chicago, not IL. Obamacare was handed out in the middle of the night straight from a closed room. Copies were handed out by the then Speaker Pelosi. No, there is nothing facist about the Obamacare bill, it is communist. Everybody gets the same as accorded by the Government. Hillary tried it when the then President Bill Clinton was in office. This President was far more cloak and dagger. Please correct my mistakes about Obama not assisting for two months during the BP oil spill. There were 20 Skimmers turned away to Brazil in case something happened there reinforcing his Cap and trade. As for Gov. Scott, only time will tell if he has the stones to stand up to the Liberal Conspirists.

• @beentherebefore: speaking of half truths, that's what most of your post is. health reform was not passed without a vote, the house leadership abandoned the notion of "deeming" it passed and there were separate role call votes on the Senate bill and reconciliation bill. there's nothing fascist about health reform (it was a republican originated proposal) and he couldn't have done anything about IL state gun ownership as a U.S. Senator. He agreed that the 2nd amendment confers an individual right to gun ownership, and the only effect of the stupid rumors that he wanted to confiscate guns was a run up in the price of ammo that made it more expensive for gun owners to exercise their rights. You have all your facts on the BP spill wrong as well. the midterm results were little more than the usual behavior of the electorate. whoever is in power is thrown out when the economy is going very badly at the time, because most voters have no idea that the government doesn't have the power to create jobs. and since conservatives are supposed to know that, it's ironic that they would blame the government for not creating jobs. voters were asked in particular whether they were voting to repeal health reform. it was 50/50, so that doesn't explain diddly.

• Hey Dog, I only said Scott won the majority vote over Sink which means more people wanted him than her. Twist that around any way you'de like. Facts are facts. And don't forget what his mom said; "He's a good boy!"

• @ markus -- 1142 hours Rick Scott and Jennifer Carroll received 2,611,340 votes (48.88%) to the 2,549,492 (47.72%) received by Alex Sink and Rod Smith, which, although a majority, is hardly a mandate. The differential is less than 62,000 votes. And it says nothing at all about "the people's view of her," unless the votes of two-and-a-half million Floridians mean nothing to you. Mr. Scott promised 700,000 new jobs -- now let's see him "get to work!"

Charlie Crist threw in with them and Florida is still waiting along with 17 more states to do the same. • As education standards go lower throughout the USA we'll continue to see morons electing idiots to lead them. They are going to make everything all better by spending less money, on what? They are all going to create jobs but don't say how and nobody asks questions? They got a job printing press hidden somewhere? The people of Florida just elected the former indicted CEO of the most criminal healthcare company in US history as governor? Florida, God's waiting room and loony bin. Obama had almost NO experience when he was elected president but that is fine in your eyes because he agrees with you. Why cant someone like Rick Scott given a chance to govern the state? The voters were well aware of the baggage and despite the republican establishment fighting against him he was able to win the primary and the general election. The people have spoken and your side will have another shot in 2012.

• The gov. elect of Fl. and the senator elect along with all of the other tea partiers and otherwise radical conservatives who were elected should be prepared to perform all of the miracles they promised to during their campaigns, or they too will be the object of much anger and frustration in six months or less, and will be taking a blood bath such as the political office incumbants and other democrats including those in the White House did on Tuesday. It seems that the American public as a whole not only want jobs, but they want the same jobs, the same expensive over priced houses, the same over indulgent life styles, so Gov Elect Scott, and Senator Elect Rubio, you probably should dust off your magic wands, you will surely need them.
