Allen West Wins Congressional Seat, Voters to Deal With Unsettling Two Years

• That was about the most sore loser sour grapes article I've ever had the displeasure to read....what's wrong, Pookie, did your candidate lose?????

• Dear Patriot: be watchful, very, very watchful, of those who, like Allen West, wrap themselves in our flag for their political purposes. And when you copy and paste from West's website to relay his biographical information, at least put quotation marks around it or otherwise attribute it from where it came. That was West spouting off about himself on his website. Now that he's been elected, let's see just what kind of legislator he makes in the next twio years: a fire-breathing, uncompromising, "walk through Hell with a gasoline can" kind, or one who finds that the best way to afect change in our system of government is the fine art of compromise. And let's see what kinds of legislation he champions and what he does for his District, and for all Floridians. That will be the measure of the man.

In 2004, when it was time to retire from more than twenty years of service in the US Army, he brought his wife and two young daughters to Broward County, Florida, where he taught high school for one year. He then returned to Afghanistan as an advisor to the Afghan army, an assignment he finished in November 2007. Allen West received his Bachelors degree from University of Tennessee and Masters degree from Kansas State University, both in political science. He also holds a Master of Military Arts and Sciences from the US Army Command and General Staff Officer College in political theory and military operations. He has served in several combat zones: in Operation Desert Storm, in Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was battalion commander for the Army's 4th Infantry Division, and in Afghanistan, where he trained Afghan officers to take on the responsibility of securing their own country. Col. West has been honored many times, including a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals (one with Valor), and a Valorous Unit Award. LtCol West left the Army (honorably) after 20 years service to this county. He served in no less that 7 combat zones. His actions left NO ONE hurt, but forced information that saved many American servicemen�s lives (please don�t comment about things you do not understand) try asking one of the men who served under him. Your point 2. He supports controlled drilling in the gulf. That means controlling the oil companies and reducing our reliance on foreign oil. Your point 3. He served in Iraq as a security advisor to the Iraqi military supporting OUR military. Your point 4. Has been very blunt about his feelings about Islam: "A nation goes to war against an ideology. We are against something that is a totalitarian, theocratic, political ideology, and it is called Islam," he said�����.He is 100% right! His dedication to this county is well documented. • This has got to be the biggest mistake out of all the votes this year. Allen West is an extremist and does not represent the people of his district. and it is ron klein's fault. If he ran even a halfway decent campaign this would not have happened.
