• Lady W ~ For someone whose writing and spelling is just plain atrocious and whose grammer is nonexistent, you sure are opinionated about an issue I'm absolutely certain you know nothing whatsoever Animal research today is pretty much completely unnecessary and is mostly performed by creeps like the guy being protested just to get grant money, avoid lawsuits and keep idiots like you under the erroneous impression that animal research is doing something for people. It's not. The majority of legitimate testing done today is through computer models and non-animal studies that are vastly superior and far more reliable. The same people who would abuse animals in dubious research would pass drugs on the public that make you sick or give you worse conditions than the ones they were invented to treat. You are either amazingly naieve or incredibly stupid to be so behnd the times as to what it going on in the research world - the info is easy enough to find with online searches today. I think in a recent past life, you must have been a monkey who was bashed on the head one too many times by an evil researcher.

Every effective medicine we have could have been developed more cheaply and quickly if we had used other methods than non-human animal experimentation, which usually leads to wrong conclusions. • @anonymous We can do both. One of the advantages to protesting is bringing attention to the issues we care most about. By pushing for charges and an investigation, we also bring attention to why we were originally there. This police officer was disrespectful and vulgar while we were peaceful. If we can make people realize how horrible Donald Bradford is and get assholes like this (pun intended) arrested in the process its a win win for everyone except monkey killers and assholes.

• I was among the protesters. I noticed this guy talking to a policeman in the police car that was furthest away from me, although I did not notice that his butt was exposed. I was too busy speaking with residents leaving the community, handing them literature and answering their questions. The quote from Gary Serignese was perfect. We were there to expose the horrors of Primate Products and let the residents know about Donald Bradford, the monster in their midst. We were there to represent his innocent victims and all the poor, feeling, sentient beings wrongly sacrificed for pointless "research" all over the world. Animal experimentation yields mostly wrong and trivial data which leads to a net increase in human deaths. The billions wasted could be used for more effective research that could yield real information that would save lives. Bradford and others who benefit from the taxpayer funded gravy train like things just the way they are, since they are incapable of making a real contribution to increasing our knowledge base. The on-duty police officers were very professional and I commend them. If the guy showing his butt was indeed a police officer, it betrays a mentality which should preclude him from remaining a policeman here or anywhere else.

• Just spoke with the PBPD again and there is an active investigation going on regarding this incident. They claim there were no plainclothes officers dispatched to the area during the protest so it couldn't have been a cop. However, they already have the license plate of the offender, and she assures me that they are doing what they want to "nip it in the bud". I guess we will see if that is indeed the case. Some sort of official statement would be nice.

• The person who this needs to be sent to is Sgt. Carlos Bermudez, the head of Penbroke Pines Internal Affairs. I just spoke with the PBPD about this "incident".

• Until more people complain to the police, they won't open a case an investigate who this man was. If you care about the respect legal protesters get, call the Pembroke Pines police and start filing reports. Get this guy arrested for indecent exposure.

• I was there and part of the protest. There is no doubt that he is a cop in civilian clothing. He parked his unmarked black van right next to the other cop cars and was watching us from across the street with the other cops. He had his ass hanging out for quite some time, enough for someone to take their camera out and snap this photo. It was an obvious sign of disrespect to our group. All we were doing was expressing our freedom of speech, which this cop is supposed to protect, not disrespect. Not all cops are like this, but this is a clear example of some of the type of people that we trust to uphold the law and protect our constitutional rights.

The picture was taken a minute after he had his entire backside hanging out at us for quite awhile, before he turned and pulled his shirt down. I was there.
