Dirtiest Campaign Season Ever?

• SCHOOL BOARD: JAEMI LEVINE FILES FOR DISTRICT 4 Jaemi Levine, founder and President of Mothers Against Predators has filed to run for the District 4 School Board seat. Levine pulled her packet of papers early this afternoon, filled them out and filed to run right then and there. I asked her if she believes she can get the support she needs. She tells me that she can get the community support that any candidate would need in order to win. Levine, who challenged Stephanie Kraft in 2006, says she had a good experience in her previous run and learned a great deal about campaigns. She still has children in the school system and four additional years of experience under her belt in the role of a community activist, getting her wide recognition in the parental and children's safety community. After her 2006 run, Levine founded the organization, Mothers Against Predators. The Mothers Against Predators Facebook page is here. Through Levine's persistence and management skills, the organization went on to gain national prominence in the fight against online child predators in a very short time. Levine's previous experience as a candidate along with her solid backing in the activist community will make her a formidable candidate. And in my own experience, it isn't always about money.

Levine filed a police report contending that her opponent, Dave Thomas, squeezed her hand so tightly it that it caused her injury. What a drama queen! Boo hoo. When my sons were young, they took a lot worse and never complained. If this alleged incident has caused her such distress, imagine how she will deal with the real issues at the School Board. They are all contentious, like boundaries, funding and building new classrooms. Levine did get publicity for her campaign with her complaint. I�m not surprised. The media can�t resist such an unusual tale. The media used the story, but they have no idea if Levine is telling the truth. Neither do I. What I do know is that squeezegate is a sideshow. Levine has made much too much out of it. It is a distraction. I rather hear more realistic answers from Levine on how she will change the School Board. Once again like on so many subjects, the Sun-Sentinel�s Mike Mayo had the wisest observation: �Thomas denied hurting Levine. It�s a sad day when even the post-debate handshake becomes a matter of contention.� Never truer words.

• Now Decided I wish I knew how you know I know the facts are there since i have never met anyone in my life named Now Decided. Having morals means looking at all sides and being able to live with yourself. I again do not see facts in the article and I will admit that since it was written in a blog facts aren't a requirement. As for not being negative is not "your thing" I think you have already accused me of being in denial, having no shame or morals because I questioned the lack of facts in the article. Again facts are police report, medical records. I had thought I knew who you were but given your last two posts I believe I am wrong, I believe that person could have a discussion about the issue, not try to tell me what I know or do not know.

• SCHOOL BOARD: WHINER OF THE YEAR - JAEMI LEVINE Buddy Nevins calls her whiner of the week. Make that whiner of the weak. I won't weigh in on the alledged incident with Dave Thomas, but to not complain to a Sheriff's Deputy who was on the scene at the time certainly smells. Going out to dinner with a campaign supporter after the debate and then seeking medical advice afterwards smells even worse. Waiting a day to file a complaint simply stinks. Especially after sources told me that the Sun Sentinel would not bother with the story unless a complaint was filed. But then it's the usual Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber fare. Somebody needs to ask the would be "Columbo of the School Board" if she filed any charges or complaints against the owner of the dog that scratched her cornea earlier this year at the beginning of her campaign. The incident put her in the hospital for two days and took her off the campaign trail. Complaint? Nope. Nada. Not in this life time. The "hurt hand" story smells more like desperation of a losing campaign. We still have yet to see a complete and recognizable photo of Jaime with bandaged hand. Don't bother puttting one up now Even the "real" (TV character) Columbo would see that it could easily be a staged photo. Perhaps Levine should consider calling NCIS (Nada Chance In Success.) Oh, who's the owner of the dog that almost blinded Levine? None other than Susan Milano Murphy, Levine's sometime campaign manager.

"this was confirmed by several sources" "I'm told that" "All the sources" "According to one of the sources" "The source tells me" Sources are not proof. proof is the Police report, the medical records. I did not say it was fabricated or not. Nor will I since I was not there and there has been no proof of the incident.

• CAMPAIGN: SOURCES SAY LEVINE WAS BAKER ACTED IN 2008 While Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber are connecting phony dots through fuzzy photos of Stepanie Kraft both with and without Dave Thomas they continue to minimize and destroy any negatives about Levine. Well, chew on this: According to Tweedle Dumb, "Levine told me today that she had heard the rumor as well, along with implications that she was a bad mother. " It's utter garbage. "I don't even drink," said Levine. "If I have a glass of wine once every three or four months, it's a lot. I just don't like the taste of alcohol." If this is true, then somebody needs to explain why Levine was Baker Acted on July 20, 2008 for Alcohol Abuse. "Alcoholic Rage" was the statement from one source. This was confirmed by several sources, one of whom spoke to Levine while she was confined. I'm told that it was Coral Springs Police who took her in. All the sources pointed to the same individual that made the call. According to one of the sources, nobody in her houshold supported Levine either in her MAP efforts or her School Board runs. I can confirm at least some of that. The source tells me that when it came to the now defunct Mothers Aagainst Predators "it was all about her and not about the children." Levine, by the way, is on total Disability. Tweedle Dumb just loves to throw out the statement that "he's not allowed to work" when taking shots at his favorite pin cushion, but the man is just nowhere to be found when it comes to Levine and her disabilty. With his favored candidate, it's neither a problem nor even worth a passing mention. And I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for him to address it even now. Dumb and Dumber will more than likely target me for revealing it rather that deal with the reality. It's their usual M.O. The "puffy alcoholic" syndrome fits, but not like you might think it does. It's more likely to be a symptom of diabetic swelling than anything else. But wait... I still don't buy the kind of squeeze damage that Levine claims, but joint aspiration, (fluid buildup) is a side effect from long term diabetes and not necessarily out of the queston. And yes, joint aspiration can result in swelling of the hand without the great deal of pressure as claimed. It can even be mistaken for a "crush injury." Now just why would yours truly know this? Maybe it's because I, too, am diabetic. There's more.
